There's a piece of me that will never grow beyond four years old, dancing outside on rainy days. You were my first dance partner (which explains my dorky moves). You were the one to move me across the country and back, listening to Billy Joel & Elton John on repeat. You were there when my heart was broken, I thought it would never mend, but you'd come visit me at college & take me to dinner. We'd pick out cigars & sweet treats & sit on the porch. Like a gentle & patient carpenter you helped me to pick up my pieces, making something more beautiful & brave than before. You're the comfort on the other side of the phone, you're the safety when I get overwhelmed, you're all the best parts of me. I love you, Happy Father's Day, Fa Man.
