✩ You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go, and see what happens…✩ .
This was one of the messages from @jbhudson’s last @soulcycle ride tonight + it really stuck with me.
I used to be the biggest planner + worry worm in the world 🐛 I’d worry about so many things that were years away or beyond my control until one day I realised, you can never ever fully map out your life, nor do you need to. .
Things never go to plan and life always ends up changing. Ultimately though, it’ll all just fall into place if you stay open to opportunities, keep growing and trust yourself that you’ll figure it out 💫 .
4 years ago when I graduated in Law in Sheffield, I never imagined I’d now be living in Vancouver, with permanent residency and running my blog full time. I also hated spinning with a passion and never thought i’d ever be addicted to something like @soulcycle but hey, things really do change!! 😅 .
So if you’re currently worrying about what may or may not happen 1, 5, or 10 years from now...don’t. Instead, take a deep breathe, trust yourself that you’ll figure it out, and just go wherever life takes you.
Big love to @jbhudson and all your amazing Soul rides in the last 18 months. Gonna miss ya on that podium ❤️

✧ “And while there are countless ways that we rip ourselves off, there’s one way in particular that is, without a doubt, the most rampant and the most devastating of all: we invest everything we’ve got in believing that we’re not good enough.” ✧ .
Anyone else really resonate with this?
I recently wrote a very honest blog post - it’s all about how I lost confidence in myself and my work last month, but also how I managed to shift my thinking, get back to my positive self + get myself out of my funk.
Turns out this happens to the vast majority of us at some point - so if you’re feeling a similar way, hopefully you find it useful and it’ll help you to get back on your game. You are definitely not alone ✧
Let me know your thoughts if you give it a read! Link in bio ❤️ .

Oh BC, you never fail to amaze me 💫
4 years ago exactly, we left England to go travel around Southeast Asia. At the time it felt like a very temporary decision - we were gonna explore Asia, spend 1 year in Canada then go back home.
What was supposed to be temporary actually ended up being permanent and it’s amazing how many opportunities and changes have occurred because of that decision to get out of our comfort zone + travel. .
What we often forget is that every single decision we make diverts us on a different path. No matter how big or small. It inevitably opens a new door and invites a new outcome - sometimes it’s a good thing and sometimes it isn’t - but the smallest decision can have a huge impact later down the line. So especially during those times when you feel like your efforts aren’t getting you anywhere + things aren’t moving, remember that those small choices and decisions may one day make a world of difference. .
Of course, decisions always involve sacrifice too - ours meant we had to leave our amazing friends + family and that was and still is really tough. But if you want it enough you find a way to make it work.
I’m so grateful for everything the last 4 years has brought - that decision led to us moving to Vancouver, me starting my blog, living our absolute dream life + it resulted in this amazing online community. Thanks to all you people who continue to support everything that @mchutch5 and I do. You’re all amazing ❤️ .

“And I realize that no matter where I am, whether in a little room full of thought, or in this endless universe of stars and mountains, it’s all in my mind.” ✧ ✧
If i’m totally honest with you, i’ve been feeling a bit stuck in my head recently. I’ve actually got ideas + inspiration coming out of my ears, which is great, but there’s been a lot of moments when i’ve thought, “My best just isn’t good enough.” 🤷🏽♀️ .
One of my biggest strengths is that I always strive for more. I learn what I don’t know and master what I do. I’ll do whatever I can to make shit happen.
But equally, that’s one of my weaknesses, because it means that i’m extra EXTRA hard on myself. My expectations and standards (of myself) are so high, more and more it seems these days, and sometimes my inner critic really just takes over to the point where it just makes me a bit sad.
I’m so fortunate to have the best mentor/soundboard/friend/hubs in @mchutch5 and he always manages to crush that inner critic and get me out of my head.
@soulcycle is also my saviour - it’s not just a workout, but almost like therapy in many ways and I find it always gives me that extra bit of confidence and self-love when I need it. The feeling of empowerment and strength it provides is really wonderful. .
I’m slowly learning to be less harsh on myself and understand that these expectations and standards are just in my mind. My best actually IS good enough. Ultimately our mind is our biggest limitation but it’s also our biggest power - so we gotta not let it stop us from going after we want 💫
Just wanted to be super honest + real with you guys - Does anyone else ever feel this way? If you do, you’re definitely not alone! What do you find helps you to get outta your head?
Trainers: @nike at @sportchek .
