I've been reading this since last monday aka I started it then and made decent headway but haven't touched it since lol. It's a little gory because we'll, it is about a girl who dissects supernatural beings for her mother to sell, only to get sold on the black market herself when she disobeys her mom 💀 I am very stressed out reading this and well, now I'm just rooting for Nita to destroy everyone by the end haha.
Guess who is still reading Furyborn? This post is an apology to @ofstrangerworlds for keeping her waiting, but I am enjoying the book so far despite my ashamedly slow progress. I love Rielle's voice so much and I'm so excited that she's met [redacted for spoilers] bc I just know they're going to be so interesting together. Eliana is slowly creeping her way in, but the appearance of the Wolf in her narrative definitely sparked up a lot of intrigue in me.
The Furyborn preorder swag is honestly one of my favorites I'm so excited to read the book and the character cards definitely make me so curious as to who will end up being my favorite haha. My pre-order actually arrived two weeks ago (😱) so I feel very fortunate and need to pick this up asap.
The Trouble series has one of my all-time favorite sparky banter duos and I couldn't be more excited to have an ARC of the third and final book Trouble Never Sleeps. Also, what better backdrop than posters of some Asian lit books.💘
So confession: I've had a copy of this book on my kindle since last year but haven't picked it up yet. I've heard great things about The Bone Witch and I loved one of the author's other books, so I can't wait to finally read this now that I have a physical copy. To my friends who have been crying at me to read this, feel free to yell at me if I don't read it soon.
I picked up Pitch Dark the other day and I am so excited to read it, Courtney Alameda writes creepy with such eloquence I adore her writing. Spring break is sadly almost over so I’m trying my best to let it linger although it’s not working too well.
Do you have any comfort reads? Ally Carter is my go-to when I need a book to lift my spirits and I adore her Heist Society books because they’re a perfect mix of fun and clever. And who doesn’t love a good heist?
I have run out of photos to post so thought I might post a few outtakes of my trip to the amazing Mysterious Galaxy bookstore with Alexis, who I just started co-blogging with. She’s one of my favorite people ever and we click so well so I’m excited. My intro post on her blog is linked in the bio ♥️
Throwback to visiting the Hello Kitty cafe a few weeks ago. It was the cutest place and I can’t wait to go back when I’m back in LA for the summer hopefully. I haven’t read Meet Cute yet but it does seem like something I’d like so I’m excited. Here’s to a few more days of denial before school starts up sigh.
It’s the last day of 2017 and it feels quite surreal. This is an old photo I never posted but it’s really interesting how even with someone as inconsistent as myself, I can see the phases my photos go through. Hopefully 2018 will give me the motivation to post more and I won’t be so sporadic haha.
black friday bookoutlet hauls are always extra special and i finally acquired copies of some of my favorite 2017 reads + books I’ve been eyeing for a while now. i can’t wait to indulge in some reading now that the holidays are almost here~
