Looking at those who just “LIVED AT THE GYM”

I wanted that.

Then I quit my job & started working for myself like all those people were.. right?

WRONG. Newsflash.

I’m not a personal trainer & although I love online coaching I didn’t want to do the in-person part…

Those are the ones who literally LIVE at the gym.. Because their 40-60-80 hour weeks are in their office which is the GYM.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Everyone else? Likely spends 1-2 hours.

Just like you. Just like me. A very small percentage of their day…

I always wanted a thigh gap

I hated how my legs flattened when I sat down

I didn’t understand why I wasn’t a size 0

Or why was my butt so big??

What was I So much bigger than my friends?

These were my thoughts in middle school...

Then high school...college... (ok I realized here the big butt part wasn’t a bad thing)

Then as my adult life started I just really really really wanted thin, lean slender legs.

I realize now that I’m a) 5’9 1/2 so I’m proportionately LARGER than my friends who are like 5’2”

I was also an athlete so my legs were larger but they were STRONGER
🔻
And I’m not sure HOW the THIGH GAP thing got trendy or why people want it? Why I* wanted it? Since it has no functional purpose

Over the past 2 years, I’ve slowly learned to stop comparing myself to others and focus on my genetics - my BEST self
🔻
Some of my best physical traits happen to be everything I was insecure about because they’re “different”
🔻
Now I realize, strong legs are sexy. Just like lean slender legs are too. I also realize that my legs counter my booty which I’ve worked so hard for.

Same thing goes for if you have the reverse problem. Having slender lean legs is sexy in its own way.

Stop comparing. Start embracing. Start with what you love and you’ll eventually see your own definition of beauty evolve

I’m intentionally letting myself wake up when my body is ready as I’m focusing on lowering my stress & repairing my hormones.

I’m intentionally drinking 1.5 gallons of water a day because I know how it clears my skin & gives me energy.

I’m intentionally finding new creative outlets because I like being creative and losing myself in projects...
.
I’m intentionally surrounding myself with like minded people
.
I’m intentionally drinking coffee and lowering my caffeine intake as I am focusing on my adrenal health
.
I’m intentionally making sure I tell @mike_crowson how I feel - about him, and overall emotionally as communication needs to remain strong.

I’m intentionally putting more thought into sharing my hardships and how I gain my confidence because I’m genuinely want others to know they are never alone (anxiety, food relationships, etc) and only want them to RADIATE ☀️ with the confidence they deserve.

3 mins slowly on stair master banded
12 donkey kick backs - 2 sec hold at top
25 glute bridges -2 sec hold at the top
🍑Back Squat 5 x 5 reps
*heavy, 5 working sets + 2-3 warm ups
🍑Heavy Sumo Squat 3 x 3-5 reps
*drive through your heels
🍑Cable Kick Backs 4 x 12-15 reps
🍑Single Leg Leg Press 4 x 12-15 reps
*turn on side, foot higher on press
🍑 Cable V Bar Squat Pulses 4 x 15-20 reps
*dont stand fully up keep engaged
🍑Swiss Ball Hamstring Curls 3 x 12 reps

I’m doing a lot right now to focus on body positivity, balance positivity, fueling my body with better foods for better works… I want balance. I really do so I am putting A LOT OF INTENTIONAL effort for me to have better days.

MY MACROS WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH

Anyone else think about this? Macros set a limit. So a small part of me always wants more. #alwayshungry

I look forward to the day where meeting my macros is “too much” but honestly I don’t think that day will come. Until then here are a few things that I’ve done to create a better mindset

✔️ Eating slower - literally I’m putting my utensils down as I chew and enjoy each bite. It’s really making a difference in terms of this food isn’t going anywhere & I’m actually FEELING FULLER

✔️SAVORY - I have a huge sweet tooth & if I have sugar... I WANT MORE. So I’ve been trying to keep my meals savory - current faves: oatmeal + sea salt 💕
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️Not drinking during my meals but after. I don’t want to give myself a false sense of fullness!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️NUTRIENT TIMING BEFORE & AFTER WORKOUTS - protein and carbs before and after... my engine is running so I need to fuel it. If I don’t eat enough (especially post) I find myself hungrier only an hour later

✔️ “Food is fuel” Mantra. Even treats. It’s going to make my workout even MORE insane so it’s OK.

I’m not in a caloric surplus.
I’m coming out of a deficit.
I want to fuel my body properly so I feel 💯
