Self-care is how you
take your power back.
Sometimes we need to slow
down in order to speed up.
Taking the time to reflect,
digest and acknowledge where
you are now can change your
entire perspective 🕰🍂
Your competition isn’t other people. Your competition is your procrastination. Your ego. The unhealthy food your consuming, the knowledge you neglect. The negative behavior your nurturing and creativity your lacking. Compete against that. •
Standing poses help us feel more grounded and increase our sense of stability. Just like trees with roots growing into the earth and a stable trunk to support, this enables more flexibility and ease to flow with the winds of change in life 🌱

Somewhere along the way, i forgot how to love myself. And of all the tears that seeped from my soul as i walked the path back from abuse, no tears weighed heavier than the ones that were shed over my own lack of self love. || I spent a long time wondering how the violence, the degrading, the assault would change how I saw love. How i felt it, how I embraced it, how I trusted it. I feared that the devastation set roots so deep that i would be bitter, cruel, malicious.
But instead, I’m rediscovering myself.
Where i once saw damage i see healing. Where i once saw broken i see rebuilding. ❤️ Fall vibes in @aloyoga
Perhaps it’s time to stop
being so hard on your heart.
Can’t you see she’s doing the best
she can to stay standing
against all that’s
cold and harsh and hurtful
in the world?
Forgive her for beating so fast.
She’s just trying to keep up.
Hold her gently.
Remind her to exhale.
Let her rest today 💛
I often caption my picture with quotes, like this one from @drrebeccaray because I can’t get enough of the incredible writers that I’ve discovered on this little app. Why not share someone else’s art while also sharing my own? 💛💛 #spreadthelove
I’m shooting with @spakeyourmind today and I’m sooooo excited!! Stay tuned!✨ #YOGALASKA
