This zucchini flower was yelling out to me as I sat eating my breakfast on the verandah.
Not sure whether I like this yell more than Roy’s rooster crow. Both acknowledging healthy flora and fauna and the prospect of great zucchini’s, and great offspring from Roy.
Speaking of which, I’ve been thinking of taking him to a show to try and get a ribbon. Any chook gurus out there willing to lend some advice.
To get to him you have to navigate around a very agro Rooster who charges me - a bin lid, as a shield, doesn’t deter his enthusiasm of stamping his authority (little man syndrome possibly). Roy has a much more friendly nature. He knows he rules this roost and often protects the smaller hens when laying!

That’s 10 #zucchinis in that bucket weighing in at a little over 3kilos and those #carrots were free seeds from @thediggersclub that mini harvest was 1kilo of carrots 🙌🏻 the zucchini’s have been adopted by my lovely neighbours cos I still have some in the fridge from yesterday and the day before 😳
Saturday morning vibes. Summer has kicked in and with it comes cherries, strawberries and zucchinis. We have our beautiful grass fed beef and lamb for your entertaining needs and plenty of take home meals for those who can't face cooking. Have a wonderful weekend folks. 😘
Dolma is a family of stuffed dishes common in the Mediterranean cuisine and surrounding regions including the Balkans, the South Caucasus, Central Asia and Middle East. Common vegetables to stuff include tomato, pepper, onion, zucchini, eggplant, garlic. Cabbage rolls and dishes of stuffed grape leaves are also very popular, and these are sometimes also called sarma. Meat dolmas are generally served warm, often with tahini or egg-lemon sauce. Dolmas prepared with olive oil and stuffed with rice are generally served cold with a garlic-yogurt sauce. Stuffed vegetables are also common in Greek cuisine, called gemista, as well as in Italian cuisine, where they are named ripieni ("stuffed"). (c)Wikipedia

Summer to me is an endless supply of Zucchini. If you're not completely sick of eating Zucchini for breakfast lunch and dinner by the time Autumn comes then you're not a true gardener 😂😂 Its amazing how creative you can get with just one vegetable!
This year I planted these #zucchinis from seed straight into the ground, they have grown into the biggest plants I have ever grown 🙌🏻💚 I haven’t been getting many zucchini’s though cos they keep getting eaten by rats ☹️ #ihaterats 🐀
