Just a typical Tuesday night...
Sério, sou muito apaixonada pela minha dieta. Acho que foi por isso que deu totalmente certo comigo. Quando minha rotina fica meio bagunçada, eu sinto até saudades. Não existe mais possibilidade de eu viver fora dela. Eu curto comer comida logo pela manhã, curto o sabor dos alimentos como eles realmente são, curto ficar longas horas sem me alimentar, curto comer somente o necessário, curto focar no benefício da comida. Se minha dieta não existisse, eu a inventaria. Na verdade eu inventei, porque não existe dieta que zera os carboidratos. E eu zerei e deu super certo pra mim.
Fiz meus hambúrgueres para congelar e aproveitei o momento para fazer minha segunda refeição do dia. Dois hambúrgueres e brócolis 🥦. E por que brócolis??? Porque o impossível aconteceu na minha vida: meus ovos acabaram 🙀! Mas, só vou postar esse post e já estou indo comprar meus ovos. Mas agora só vou me alimentar novamente amanhã. Logo mais a noite tem.... atividade física. AMO. 🚴🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️

Um dos ingredientes para ter sucesso na vida é: organização. Com organização você realiza sonhos. E na dieta, organização também é imprescindível. Se você segue uma dieta, precisa ter disponível tudo o que você precisa para mante-la. Deixar as coisas prontas, evita que você faça escolhas erradas na hora da fome. Eu deixo pronto, no congelador, marmitinhas com todas as coisas que fazem parte da minha dieta. Na hora de comer, basta escolher e pronto. A escolha será sempre certa.
Hoje eu fiz patinho moído e também fiz hambúrgueres.
Patinho moído => Coloquei o patinho moído na minha “panela magica”, tampei e deixei la até começar a soltar agua. Depois abri a panela para a agua secar um pouco e coloquei meu tempero natural que eu também deixo pronto.
Meu tempero tem: alho, cebola, cheiro verde, pimentão e pimenta. Bato tudo no processador.
Na minha carne acrescentei meu tempero, mexi bem, tampei a panela e deixei até finalizar. Guardei nas minhas marmitinhas.
Hambúrgueres => Patinho moído, o mesmo tempero acima e queijo provolone ralado. Misturei tudo com as mãos ate ficar bem incorporado. Modelei os hambúrgueres e guardei no congelador. Na hora de fazer, basta tirar do congelador e levar à minha panela.
E assim, a dieta fica garantida. Tudo que preciso está pronto e a escolha é sempre certa. Basta se organizar. 😉

Our ancient selves valued fatty meat over everything. 
When this was in short supply, We had to eat plants. The body recognized this as a starvation protocol, and would release hormones like IGF1 to demand excess calories to make up for the drop in nutritional density. 
I dread to think what our ancient ancestors would think of us now. 
We can go into a supermarket and pick up as much fatty meat as we want. 
Yet people choose to buy wheat, legumes, vegetables and fruit.... food we previously would only eat to avoid starving. 
Basically they would think we were f@*%ing insane.

I like bacon. I like eggs. However, there is something special about Bacon & Eggs together. Mmmmm dipping that fatty bacon into the egg yolk. I could eat them everyday for the rest of my life.

Brunch today was 2 huge beef patties and some cheese and egg bites (recipe in my previous post). This was delicious and enough to tide me over till dinner, which was a plate of fried egg, bacon and a sliced up pork kransky. Ended the night with some deliciously rich mutton broth seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder 😍

Let’s Talk Appetite and Holidays!
I did not eat both of these, but I made two in case one wasn’t enough. I still have weak hunger signals that I’m figuring out.
My only indications of hunger usually are when I start thinking of food or start looking for it (like wanting to eat things out of the case at work or drifting to the fridge constantly).
In fact, when my stomach actually rumbles, it’s usually just because I’m thirsty or I just woke up.
So since my appetite isn’t consistent I have to make more at once or take things with me “just in case”.
Since I have a history of restriction, putting off hunger is easy for me to do, and it can be problematic.
I don’t get “hangry” and I can feel hunger for many hours without eating, but my goal is to regain my hunger signals and regulate my appetite, so I often have to dig very deep to find the small indications that I should eat something.
Healing comes in many forms, be it physical or mental, and in preparation for the up coming food-centered holiday(s), know that it is okay to misjudge your appetite or struggle to eat more or less around normal eaters. 
It also can be difficult to eat a certain style, be it Carnivore, Keto, Vegetarian, Vegan, etc. around a group that doesn’t eat the same way. Know that you don’t have to justify yourself, it’s your plate not theirs, and that you are allowed to change the subject, excuse yourself, or not attend. 
Your health is more important. 
You are worthy of comfort.

1/4 cup pumpkin puree (like libby's)
2T sour cream
1/2t cinnamon + 1/4t of each - cloves,  ginger,  nutmeg OR use some pumpkin pie spice
2T powdered lakanto or erythritol
1/4t vanilla
Big pinch of salt

Blend everything together really well with a mixer or by hand with a spoon (I hate dishes,  so I use a big spoon). Then refrigerate before eating, that''s it!.

Ingredients
1 cup almond flour
2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon whole psyllium husks (or flax meal)
3/4 teaspoon sea salt (to taste)
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions (6 servings)
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Blend together almond flour, sunflower seeds, psyllium, and sea salt in bowl or food processor. I like to process together with a food processor to finely chop sunflower seeds.
3. If using food processor, pulse in water and coconut oil until dough forms. If blending by hand, stir the liquid ingredients into dry ingredients to form dough.
4. Place dough ball on a sheet of parchment paper and press flat. Cover with another sheet of parchment paper and roll dough to about 1/8 to 1/16 inch thickness.
5. Put on cutting board, remove top parchment paper, and cut into 1-inch squares using a pizza cutter or knife. Sprinkle sea salt on top if desired.
6. Place cut dough on a baking sheet and bake in 350°F until edges are brown and crisp (about 10-15 minutes). Allow to cool on a rack then separate into squares.

Taco egg bake for the win. I had some leftover taco ground beef so I mixed it with 3 eggs, cheese and melted butter. I baked it for 25 mins and topped with sour cream and salsa. On the side is some roasted shishito peppers with jalapeño salt. #keto

You telling me that it's okay to eat garbage from time to time, or that certain foods aren't bad for me "in moderation" or that a balanced diet is best... you just don't get it. You don't understand how slippery that slope really is, and how much damage the concept of a balanced diet has done to me.

Don't tell me I look fine, or worse, that I could use a few pounds. Don't tell me I can "afford" to eat crap from time to time. It isn't about weight loss for me. It isn't about what's cool or hip. It's about my physical, mental and emotional health.

I am mindful of every misstep, but not always in real time. Sometimes, I'm two blueberry muffins in before I realize what I've done and how awful I'm going to feel - not just in a few hours, but for days, maybe even weeks afterwards. Those two muffins open a Pandora's box full of sugary treats, literally begging to be purchased and devoured.

My relationship with food, especially sugar/carbs, has been a lifetime of excess and excuses. What looks like "beating myself up" to you is simply me acknowledging the things I ate that made or will inevitably make me feel like shit, make my breathing more difficult, my skin break out, my sleep habits start to suck again. Choosing to remove certain foods from my diet doesn't make me crazy, it means I'm aware of my body and how it reacts to the right (and wrong) fuel.

I don't want to feel like shit anymore. But I am battling an addiction. There is an emotional connection to sugar, and the way my body responds to it. You think trying to go/stay carnivore is an eating disorder, but the reality is that pumping myself full of sugar/carbs... is.

Bacon Wrapped Enoki Mushrooms is my ideal #ketothanksgiving2018 side dish. I specifically wanted to incorporate my asian flavor in this dish cause I gots to represent for my asian peoples lmao 🙌🏻 Did I succeed or what? This dish is super simple cause I am all about simplicity (or maybe I’m just lazy?) but I think I just work better with less ingredients.

BLTA (bacon-lettuce-tomato-avocado) is my ultimate favorite sammich so I made some BLTA cups. Lemme tell you, they are just as good as I remember 😋 I only put a lil grape tomato cause my stomach can’t stand a bunch of tomatoes any longer. Even with this lil grape tomato, I still felt my stomach bloat up.
