There was a time several years ago when I did zentangles all the time and the, kind of got away from it and onto different art forms.
Alice Hendon was recently a guest artist on Doodlewash where her zentangle art was featured. Her zentangle art inspired me to do another piece.
I started with putting some watercolor blots down and letting them run with plans to do zentangling over the top.
Step back to me organizing my art supplies, namely pens and I found a bottle of Japanese ink and decided to do the ink with a dip pen. Of course, all my dip pens are in Arizona but I found a Turkey feather that my husband carved a tip on years ago. Onto zentangling.
After that involved lead up story, it was so fun to do this and write a haiku,
'these freaky flowers
are grown with my muse and ink
full of fun and love'
I think there is more zentangles in my muse that needs to be released.
