Esta ilustración la he realizado con un estilo clásico, tal como me sugería el poema.
Este poema- frase Zen habla del sauce y de la flor. Pero sobre todo, a mi modo de ver, nos dice que todo ser viene al mundo para ser uno mismo.
柳緑花紅; "el sauce es verde, y la flor carmesí".

It is said in Zen that if you leave the mind alone the mind will leave you alone. -
What it is saying is that if you can't just leave the mind alone you have to struggle with it, and the struggling with it also keeps it there, keeps it there for you. -
All of your troubles exist only in your mind. -
When you come out of your mind you have no troubles. Troubles are part of the movie and the mind is making and moving the movie. -
It’s been SO long since I got out the ol’ wood burner. It was calling my name today - I needed to make something for ME. The perfect solution was a fellow AH-mazing lettering artist’s weekly challenge - #homwork . This week’s challenge was to letter a quote that has meant something to you. Many of you who know me have heard this one - it’s popped up at some seriously important times in my life and always helped me have faith to take that leap of faith I’m worrying over (and I’m constantly second-guessing & overthinking the big leaps in life). It was even more fun challenging myself to do it with the wood burner!!!! I WILL be doing more......
Breaking down my ego .. I found I was nothing. Not this body.. not this face.. not these past experiences.. not this race. Not my education, or job experience, current career, or achievements. What is one to do discovering this existential truth? When you discover your nothingness? Well you can rest in nothingness; or get back out there, and chop wood- carry water. So here’s me lately making the latter decision.. chopping wood- carrying water. Not striving to be anything grandeur or extraordinary. Tending to my duties, and living the simple human life. :) #ifugetmeugetme#zensaying#chopwood#carrywater#relaxandenjoy
