I loved this branzino in a brown butter caper sauce, finished with tart green olives, which I recently enjoyed @wynonatoronto. The flavors of the slightly nutty brown butter and acerbic capers and olives, finished with a good squeeze of lemon, were beautifully balanced. Years ago I used to regularly make a version of this recipe, which I believe is Italian in origin. Cleary, it’s time to make it again.

I booked a #dinner reservation for table of 5 at this Chinese restaurant called @my_wonderful_kitchen in Richmond Hill, ON although they only have 3/5 stars on @yelp because I wanted to give it a try.. AND I SHOULD'VE NOT. We came 10 minutes early and was seated almost an hour after. No one seemed to be speaking in English and therefore no one really wanted to entertain me and my fam when we asked about our reservation. While I totally understand that's it's a Chinese restaurant, I think at least one employee should know how to deal with non-Chinese customers? Unless it's an "exclusive" restaurant, which it was not.. So yeah. I was really disappointed with that.. Another thing was their service was so freakin slow and they didn't even serve all our orders at the same time. We were already done with all our food when they served the Lemon chicken.. As far as I know, that isn't a dessert and should be served together with the rice and everything else? The last issue that got really into my nerve was the NOISE. It was so incredibly noisy at the whole restaurant I'm not even exaggerating. My fam and I can't even hear each other when we talk! And omg I got a freakin migraine because of the noise! I still get annoyed whenever I think about what happened. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. @fourfoursouthvillage is a new Taiwanese beef noodle spot at📍Yonge and College (474 Yonge)! Their dishes and menu were created by award-winning chefs at the Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival.
They combine locally sourced ingredients with those from China and Taiwan to make food that’s 💯👌🏼 The beef was tender, the noodles were chewy and that BBT slushie 😍
Their grand opening is tomorrow (Friday, August 17) so go get yourself a bowl of 🍜

lol haven’t been to kinka izakaya in a hot minute.. as you all will shortly realize i don’t make the post until weeeeeeks after i eat there so this was their july special set that is no longer available ☹️ As per usual of kinka izakaya it’s a good spot for drinks and small plates. It would be p tough imo to get stuffed here (unless i’m just a fat ass lmao). The sashimi was fresh & everythjng was tasty & the atmosphere here is just perfect for late night drinking and catching up~ The only thing i didn’t like was the black sauce on the spinach. i asked what it was and i totally forgot the name; it’s sesame based sauce but it was just off putting to me. Either than that i love love love kinka izakaya 💕

Located a few mins walk away from niagara falls this is a ‘gourmet burger bistro’ that claims to be the worlds best burger. idk if it’s the world’s best but their burgers were pretty good. The portions were big and definitely filling. They obviously were a little pricey for what it is but keep in mind it’s a tourist area. I’ve tried many places on clifton hill and i would recommend this place over a lame fast food burger any day. Keep in mind lines could get long but the weight isn’t too bad. They also provide water in these measuring cups which look super cute and goes w their rustic theme (or at least that’s what i think they were going for)
I think we just found our 2nd, if not absolute favourite, spot in the city 😍 From the gorgeous interior, to the impeccable service, to the quality and simple perfection of everything on each small-plate Italian dish, @ilcovo.to CANNOT be missed. The Spanish #coppa is a standout--check out how still @nickdurie gets just letting the delicate slice melt happily in his mouth 😁. The #garganelli was perfection in texture and in taste. The #steak was tender AF. The #branzino tastes more substantial than any white fish I've had and sat on an amazing pesto. The two olive oils we tried were some of the best we've ever had. And I don't even like white chocolate, but the #tartufo shell got better and better as I ate it!! Did I mention this was the most solid #lastword I've had in a long time? It wasn't even on the menu!

Chicken and his friends 😂 this dessert cake was really interesting, it had a variety of layers with different flavours. The most memorable for me was the yuzu jelly on the inside! 🍋🍊 @theplacetoronto @doughnut_cc
