HORRIFIED and ashamed to say this defence lawyer is #calgarian . Note that there is no defence for the man having had sex with his daughter, just blame that she didn’t keep her legs together tight enough. THIS QUESTION (according to the article) WAS TO DISCREDIT THE YOUNG WOMAN! https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/clench-legs-together-sex-assault-trial-przepiorka-1.4713403 #calgary#yyc#law#rapevictim#rapemyths#fuckingidiot#lawyer#soangry
2/4 “My childhood was really intense. Both of my parents were addicts, and I didn’t have it that easy. Growing up I got to see a lot of drug addiction, but not just in the home, on the way to school too. I was constantly moving around. When I was nine we went to live with my grandma. That same year my dad died. So everything was hectic at home. I started dabbling with pot when I was 11 or 12, but it really took off when I was 16. I got a dish washing job, and I moved out. From 16 - 19 my life was chaos because I didn’t have anyone there. I just did what I wanted to do, and I went into a deep, dark addiction.”
*It is National Indigenous Peoples Week, and in honour of that, we want to share Vee’s story with you over the next two days. We hope his words are touching your heart, filling you with compassion, and widening your understanding. But we encourage you not to stop with Vee, take an interest, read more accounts, and get to know your neighbour.*
When I started my photography journey I never thought I could make a business out of it. Why would anyone pay ME to take their precious photos? I silenced my inner mean girl and put myself out there and 4 years later I have photographed countless families - many of which keep coming back year after year. I'm still amazed I managed to turn a passion into something that helps pay the bills. All of your support means more to me than I can express 😘
How are some of your favourite small businesses? Tag them below so I can check them out! I made a goal for 2018 to support more local mamas just like me!
A minimalist approach to design, actually takes extremely detailed planning, with no room for error........ This is a hallway of dreams [to me -Lisa], and yet to some would be boring. I’m glad we are not all the same..... what do you say to this hallway? Yay or Nay?!! 🙋♀️🙅♂️ [ 📷: Briggs Edward Solomon ]
