@hoffmannwong at it again gaining few extra pounds. Only if Jin and Adie handed out the pastries along with a gym pass. But we are very glad that the event went beautifully! @Stuffiespastries opened for an extra hour that day just to accommodate the guests. And Jin took the extra steps to make sure everybody got enough stuffies, cro-tais and and soft serves. All the efforts Jin and Adie put in had made everybody more than satisfy. We all left with a stomach full of food!

Taste Test Tuesday: Pistachio Oreos
.So i went ahead and read a few other reviews on these new cookies. Everyone says they taste like pistachio ice cream and the chocolate works really well with the filling.... so here's a real review lolz
The chocolate is very overpowering to the tiny amount of creme in the cookie. All i could taste with the first cookie was chocolate and you couldn't even tell there was creme in the middle at all. I think maybe the golden oreo would have been a better pair for this one, it would have at least looked like a pistachio in its shell that way 🤷🏼♀️
.Now the creme... the bright green is fun and resembles the pistachio. I had to eat it alone to see what the actual flavour was. Its a little sweet and a little floral tasting. Im not sure what kind of pistachios other people have been eating but these dont taste like the nut and they also dont taste like ice cream. After pondering this flavour for a bit i finally put my finger on what i was tasting. They taste like AMARETTO!!!
.They aren't bad, definitely not my favourite cookie flavour and nothing like i was expecting. I think they would have made a much better normal sized cookie because you cant taste the cream at all if you eat it as is.
.I picked these up at @wincofoods in the states but they have also been spotted here in canada at @saveonfoods if you want to give them a try and let me know your thoughts in the comments below. They say "New" not limited edition so they should be around for a while!!
backcountry camping with my @backcountry_wok!
🔹just boil hot water
🔹pour about a cup into the pouch
🔹wait 20 mins and voila your meal is made
🔹you can eat directly from the pouch (dont need to wash dishes later😉) or pour it out 🔹i had the green curry and you can't even tell it was previously dehydrated!
🔹can't wait for new flavours to come out (their bibimbap is also legit)
App feature in the restaurant @picachef tonight... so proud of how far the students have come in a short time, incredible to watch the progress and struggles. Not everyday can be an easy one but definitely a great learning experience. Happy cooking! 🍝🥕👨🍳🍳🥦🥗
Chocolate chip cookies
Always use room temperature eggs and butter.
Always preheat the oven.
Always take the baking sheet out of the oven once the cookies are golden on the bottom but not firm.
Always share ♥️
Today’s lunch was a chicken souvlaki pita from The Sweet Greek on Commercial Dr. I couldn’t get a good enough picture as it was bursting with chicken, fries, and tomatoes! For $7 you can’t go wrong, plus it’ll keep you full all day! 😀 @thesweetgreekyvr
Bambu has arrived in Vancouver! If you like chè (Vietnamese desserts), give this place a try. We got the “fruit addict, and the “green bean jelly” at our first visit. Quality not quite up to par with the Seattle location, but we’re willing to give it a few more tries to be fair.
The meat is so soft that it just melts in your mouth 😍 The portion is HUGE too so it's definitely worth the $$. We always come back here for some Greek goodness 😋

Often times we come to Marui Bakery for birthday cakes. They have some unique flavors like this chestnut black tea mousse. The taste and quality is consistent here and I find that hard to come by now for the bigger Chinese bakery chains.
🌟Rating: 9/10 - green tea shaved ice @sulbing.canada
Sulbing is a Korean shaved ice chain that eventually made its way to Vancouver. It recently opened on North Road and we decided to give it a go. Pictured here is the green tea shaved ice, and it certainly differentiated itself from the competition. Laced with 2 scoops of green tea ice cream and some red bean mochi, it tasted extremely refreshing while also not being too sweet - a small flaw found in other shaved ice places. They used a healthy serving of matcha powder so expect a bit of a bitter taste in some of your bites. Overall, very great in terms of the flavour and balance. We will be back to try their other offerings soon! 😋
