Continuation from last week's impromptu breakfast on Hari Raya Puasa where we ended up at SOD Cafe, the sister @alana0611 gave her #夺命连环call to wake me up for breakfast and the lazy one chose to take the easy way out by grabbing to @whiskandpaddlesg for breakkie. Food were generally ok with some hits and misses. .
They were disappointed with the #matchachocolatte and #chocolatelatte as it wasn't what she expected and the chocolate latte came warm instead of hot. It was unanimously agreed that my #matcharoselatte was impressive thou!
Food wise, #sauteedmushrooms in the #whiskbreakfastpan was quite mediocre and kinda tasted #bitter . The #frenchtoast and the #crabmeatlinguine are #yummilicious , with the latter being the champ amongst the 3.
We had an #overdoseonchocolate with #warmchocolatefudgecake , #toppedwithmintchocolateicecream and #nutellabananacake , #toppedwithespressoicecream . Hadn't expected that the #expressoicecream is actually a nice addition to the desserts as they could neutralise and complement each other this well.
To feel less guilt and prep for another meal later.. we decided to stroll back home to try and #burnsomecalories . 😅😅😅 was too busy looking at trees that were marked for works to be carried out (reminiscing the days where I had to measure them, spray paint them, tie them with red/white tape and subsequently "murder" them). .
Another location has been identified for breakfast next week (assuming we are able to wake up for it). 😂😂😂
Kick start your favourite Mango recipes a little early with this khatta meetha 'Mango Rice' that will definitely become your all time favorite.

Basmati rice - 1 cup (cooked)
Mango - 1 cup (Grated)
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Channa Dal - 1 tsp
Ginger - small amount (chopped)
Red Chillies - 2
Green Chillies – 2
Turmeric 1/3 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp
Heat oil in a pan, pop mustard seeds.
Add Chopped ginger, Red chillies , Green chillies and Turmeric powder.
Add Grated Mango, Salt and saute well till mango is tender.
Add Cooked rice and mix well.
Garnish with Cilantro.
