Jaguar DJ Chark surprised our Tiger Academy kids during their Safety Around Water lesson today. He helped little Diego, who used to be scared, get so comfortable in the water he couldn’t stop smiling 🏊🏽♂️👏🏻 @jaguars @djchark82
And the squats continue! One of our youth took 185 for a ride today! Seeing my athletes stepping up to challenges like this and enjoying the process is why I think myself and the rest of the Fitaholic coaching staff have the best job in the world #youthdevelopment#fitaholicfitness#squats#proudcoach @damionmmeyer @mikeydunbar @fitaholichamlake @fitaholic_t @griffwolfshank

Send over your ideas via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) by midnight on January 1st. Thanks for your help and we’ll see you this summer!

Work Hard, Play harder! Sad thing is if I pursued my passion of helping youth I would barely make ends meet. So I’m stuck with doing something that pays well and every time I go into the office I ask the Lord what is the bigger picture here. Slowly he is showing me and perhaps I have to pull back from my current lifestyle and take a more humble approach. The reward and richness will come at the end. It’s a hard pill to swallow and very unfortunate that the people who honestly work for the good of humanity do not get paid what they should. So, the only option is to create something that is bigger and better in regards to youth programs. Put myself in High Risk areas, write grants for youth, and tell my journey while I’m doing it. #GodsWork#neverstoplearningandgrowing#Godfirst#Youthdevelopment#bronx#newyork#southbronx#junior#justiceforjunior 💔 #freedom

Having worked as an athletic director and coached youth sports for 20 years, I have come across many types of parents-
•some have been very supportive in the development of their kids athletic abilities
•some are just happy that their kids are having fun and being active
•some helicopter and try to live vicariously through their kids without even asking their kids how they feel
And that's not all, right? Everyone's different.
I LOVE what @krownedone does with his kids - he ask them questions. He gets his kids to think about things and come to conclusions and answers on their own rather than just talking at them about what he knows and has been through. As a teacher & constant student, I know how crucial this is- to feel the answers in one's own body, to draw conclusions on your own- that's when your learn and it sticks.
In this interview with René, CEO of @goldenbaymortgage, we talk about EVERYTHING - from parenting to superstitions, his collegiate recruiting process to his love of baseball, from balancing life to how being an athlete has helped him in business.

The holidays are approaching quickly, and our kids need your help. We are serving more kids this holiday season that ever before, which means we need more toys. We are asking for new, unwrapped toys for kids ages 8-12 and/or $25 gift cards for our teens for our holiday parties by December 19th. Toys for our kids can include board games, sports balls, Legos, K'Nex, dolls, art kits, books, action figures, journals and more.
We are happy to report that although we are experiencing a shortage of gifts for our holiday party, all of our Club families have been adopted. Thank you to all of our generous donors who really work hard to make the holidays so special for our kids and families.
80% of our youth are living at or below the poverty line, and 92% are not receiving services elsewhere which means without our Club, thousands of children, like Ramon, would not be receiving gifts this holiday season. Our Club is open for drop-off Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. If you are interested in donating holiday gifts to our kids, please contact Ellin Terrill, Director of Marketing & Special Events, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (508) 754-2686 ext. 250.

GROW YOUR HEART 3 SIZES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!
In one way or another, we are all connected to the Westport Weston Family YMCA. Maybe it’s where you learned to swim, play basketball or where you build healthy habits working out and staying active. Maybe it is where your kids go to summer camp, dance class, take gymnastics or an after school activity. It might even be where you met your best friend, spend time together as a family, or the place you go to socialize. The YMCA is a vital part of our community; a welcoming safe place to learn new skills, connect with others and get support.
Your contribution will change the lives of people in your community. Please consider donating to the Westport Weston Family YMCA’s Annual Campaign supporting the Financial Assistance Program.
In 2017 the Y provided $330,000 in financial assistance to 1,250 individuals for membership and program fee's including swim lessons, summer camp and after school. Your donation will provide a life-changing experience that will make our whole community stronger.
If you have already donated to the Annual Campaign this year, thank you so very much for your support of our mission.
Ways To Give:
1. Mail in a contribution.
2. Online: westporty.org/giving/annual-campaign
3. In person at the Member Engagement Desk the next time you are at the Y.
4. Stock donation.

Praying for this kid... I believe he has a significant purpose. Sometimes when we don’t know the purpose of a thing abuse is inevitable. #Myles monroe. Abuse is a combination of “abnormal - use”. We do this with our lives sometimes when we don’t know or have a clear visual of our WHY. But truth be told we all have been given numerous chances. Chances and opportunities to Nail It in Life by God’s very own grace. May this kid, our son Tekashi (neighborhood raises future world changers), also have this grace. “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that will eventually shall prevail.” (Prov. 19:21). #6ix9ine#tekashi69#purposeman#beyondthehustle#blessed#selfdiscoverylearningcenter#youthdevelopment
Our next match in the Meghalaya baby league will be against Langsning FC on the 12-12-2018 from 9:30 AM onwards. A match where both team will fight for a win to qualify for the finals.

Training youth should be progressive & purposeful and it should also be fun! @blazepod.co are an awesome way to develop body awareness, cognitive feedback, & coordination & it’s also a pretty fun game 😛 Being able to respond quickly to a visual stimulus is very beneficial for athletes, especially for developing youth athletes. ⭐️⚡️
