Hey everyone 👏 I'm here! Promise. It has been such a busy couple weeks and to be honest...I'm exhausted.
It is interview season for residency, I am in quite a demanding fourth year elective (ICU), I haven't had a day off in awhile, the match process scares me, and to be honest I have felt no motivation to post on social media.
It wasn't until this high school volunteer at the hospital came around to me today and asked: "Hey! Would you like to randomly choose a positive comment?" And she presented a basket filled with folded colorful strips of paper, smiling from ear to ear. I randomly chose this comment...and I don't think that this girl knew how much I needed to read it today.
Medical school is hard. No matter the stage you are at. Continuing education is hard. No matter what field you are in. You have to dig deep, you have to want it more than you ever thought you did. You have to trust the process and trust in yourself. I'm slowly getting there 😊

Fact is that not everyone is going to like you. 💯
They will have their own reasons.🤨 But how you allow it to impact your life is what counts. 🙌
Even in my role of helping people and transforming lives, I constantly have people trying to debate me, hurt me or shut me down. 👎
Maybe people who are jealous...? Maybe people who want to stay within a negative world...?
Maybe some just don’t like the look or sound of me...? 🤷♀️ Either way, to me it doesn’t matter! 🤦♀️ If I can make a difference and potentially save at least one persons life, it makes everything else irrelevant. 👊

Anyone else out there not where they want to be in their life? Whether that be your job, your health and fitness journey, or you just don’t feel like you are good enough at the thing you thought would fulfill you? DON’T GIVE UP! Keep growing, keep moving, keep working to reach your goals! .
Throw all of your self doubt out the window and run full heartily towards what you desire!
When I signed up to coach beachbody I had SO many doubts and felt lost having no idea what I was getting myself into. BUT I am running full heartily at my personal fitness goals and my coaching goals! (And being rewarding in so many ways) I am going to choose to learn and grow and over time full on BLOOM at this! Even when I feel stuck and that my goals feel so far away! I may never have abs but what is it going to hurt if I work hard to get them anyways? I fail, we all fail. It all comes down to who gets back up after the fall! .
Who else wants to reach their dreams and goals and bust open their petals and bloom where you are planted?? Then get up every morning keep pushing forward and keep the word doubt out of your vocabulary and see just what you are really capable of!!! .
Instead of shaming #blackmen uplift those who are willing to transform their default beliefs and behavioral patterns. Even after many becoming aware of the psychological warfare used to break male slaves that has trickled down via paradigms generationally. We wonder why a lot of black men don't feel worthy if they lack material status. And when they steal, sell drugs, and things people are irrationally surprised as #marcusaralius described. Even #charliemunger spoke on this in his speech on the
#pyschologyofhumanmisjudgementnI decide to be a part of the solution rather than a part of the problem. My Mission in life is to spark awareness through out the world of beliefs in what's possible.
And I will especially be serving young and older black men in communities around the world.
This reminds me that the reason I'm pursuing my goal is much bigger than myself 💪🏾🤴🏾🙏🏾💝 I share my break through steps, because I don't feel, think, and behave in tune with life being a zero sum reality. I know that the quantum field emits #abundance

I began my workout with flute activation and ended with those same sets for a nice burnout!
It’s been awhile since I have personally made a workout that made me break a sweat because normally I have coached do the cardio part for me. Today I decided to take matters into my own hands and creat a quick circuit! •
This should take about 15 minutes:
Goblet squats w/ weight
Right: Rotating plank crossover w/ weight
Left: Rotating plank crossover w/ weigh
Sprints - On for 1minute break for 30 seconds. A full round should take about 7 minutes. - Repeat 2x-3x
Then I followed it up with...
4x12 Bulgarian split squats
4x12 Weighted hip thrusts

If you have more excuses than triumphs, I’m really not concerned about you. I respect people who I know have been through hell and are real about it. When you’ve really suffered it’s very easy to tell when someone is trying to pull the wool over your eyes. I’ve struggled lots, however I’ve not been through anything remotely close to some of the beasts that I know. If you think you’re tough you’re probably not hanging around people who are actually getting after it to the limit, everyday, no excuse. I’ve met 60 year olds who would eat me for breakfast.. you might think that’s a blow to my confidence but, I LOVE IT. If you’re getting after it in life, you and I will get along. If you’re making excuses as to why your a sedentary bitch ass, we probably will not get along. I’m cocky that I’m in the position I am.. but in respect to others I know I have many more percent to give. I just hope to reach my own potential and inspire others to dig deeper and figure out where their limit is. Be what you can be. It all sounds like empty platitudes until you put in the work.. then you realize that platitudes are only empty if you’re not putting in the work. We only have one chance. “How do you stay so motivated”
Oh you mean me? The girl cuddled up in her bed all day with her son watching movies 🎥 because he’s home from school in observance of Veterans day.
Plus it’s cold outside so it’s time to hibernate, naturally💤
Well, I do one of two things:
☝🏽 I follow my Fit4Life Method. I created it for others because it is exactly what I do to reach my fitness goals every single day.
There are a TON of healthy habits in the first section alone, that will automatically increase your energy levels🔋which will in return, make you feel amazing and therefor more motivated to get things done.
✌🏽 I look at my vision board. I keep it right next to my bed.
If I am wasting away the day with no good reason, spending an entire day not getting any closer to my goals, I feel so guilty looking at it. 👀
So I ask myself, how bad do I really want to be that person that I envision❔❔
To answer this question. I don’t stay motivated. 🤷🏽♀️
I simply follow a method that pushes me to feel my best and hold myself to a high standard 🥇because I know that I can accomplish my goals.
I also know that the only people who accomplish their goals are the ones that aren’t motivated and do the work anyways.😜

15pounds between these two pictures. But I felt proud of my self at both points of my weight loss journey. Enjoy the process and every time you hit a goal be proud of that accomplishment. If your just starting be proud of that too because that’s the first step to making it happen. #motivationmonday
November is a month of giving thanks.
I recognize that I am so thankful for finding Beachbody and joining a challenge group! It has changed my mindset, attitude, way of thinking, the way I look at life, my health, fitness, self care, new friendships, support and giving it back to so many people on a DAILY basis!
That one decision to join a group has flourished into so many things I am grateful for♡
What is a challenge group?
It is a closed group in which you follow along through a free app you download onto your phone.
Each day you are encouraged by your coach, guided, and uplifted by all the people in the group doing the same things as you. You all may have slightly different goals, but one thing is the same.... you're all working towards being the best version of yourself!
On a daily basis you are logging your workout of your choice. And you have over 600 workouts to choose from. Different fitness levels, length of times, whether you want to shred fat, build muscle, slim and tone, do some yoga, dance away the fat, workout with your kids with the kid workouts, maybe you are post pregnancy, you get to pick what works for you.
These are at home workouts, but if you choose to go to the gym to do them that works too. These workouts require little equipment (some dumbells, maybe a yoga mat), or no equipment at all!
You also log when you drink your Shakeology, which is much more than just a protein shake, all natural and no additives or preservatives!
And did I mention prizes?! Right now my group is competing for a CASH PRIZE! I love to spoil all of my challengers with prizes, but also with encouragement, love, and support!

5 weeks ago we were baffled. In one single turn of events (turn of an angle grinder, really) our plans went out the window. We had no idea what we were going to be doing for money or for our work visas to be renewed, which in turn meant we had no idea what country we would be in the following year. It was sooooooooooo heartbreaking having what seemed to be our hopes and dreams for the next year go up in smoke. But even through the tears we decided to trust God 100%. We literally were crying (or at least I was) as we we thanked God for protecting Jake and myself through the accident we experienced, and even though it altered our plans, we were going to have faith in God anyway and trust Him to bring about an even better plan for us (because this year it’s happened over and over and over). It took a LOT of faith to be able to pray that in a heartfelt way.
The same week I felt inspired to start my #Nutritarian lifestyle for my own health. As you can imagine, eating SO MUCH fruits and veg (especially organic) is NOT cheap, but every time we were running out of “le funds”, we would have a chat with God and tell Him how we were feeling, and let Him know we were trusting Him, and then BAM! a family member would send us a little 💰 gift to keep us going, out of the blue! A few days after all of our heartfelt prayers and tears, we found an opening to work at this beautiful farm, to manage their organic market garden. Part of the perks were we were able to eat much organic fruits and veg, beef, chicken, lamb, and eggs as we could possibly want! On top of that, it appears it solves all of our work visa renewal requirements which means we should be on schedule for our hopes and plans for next year!
I know not everyone who reads this post knows what they believe in. Do they believe in a God? Life force? Positive vibes? Or maybe some of you are SURE you don’t believe. Honestly, I think that’s okay. But if the last 5 years have taught me anything, I truly believe that there’s a God who not only exists but actually wants a relationship with people in a personal way. Our entire adventure has been riddled with Him, sharing in the heartbreak, love, and experience.
