You will always have a valid reason for being angry. That person is probably wrong. You were probably treated unfair. That situation shouldn’t have happened. But at a certain point you have to ask yourself what is being angry at this person or situation costing you? Some anger in life is necessary to make things happen. But a lot of anger is a default reaction for not knowing how to express a hurt or disappointment. You may be right for being angry but is that anger costing you a better quality of life?
Has restriction ever led you to eat the very foods you are trying not to have? .
How did it make you feel?
This scenario - what I like to call the "Restriction Spiral" - is not because you don't have will power! I see it with my clients often, and I had years where I experienced it myself.
When you are in a restricted mentality you will have every part of you - physically and mentally - push you toward the very food you are trying not to have. This is a biological response! Again, it has little to do with willpower. .
You are not the problem, the tools you've been given - the mindset of restriction that is constantly being promoted - is what needs to be addressed. .
A funny thing happens when you allow yourself to enjoy all foods 🍓🍞🍕🥦🍫 - you begin to crave a variety of foods, not just chocolate. You find balance and enjoy food in amounts that FEEL good. Having chocolate is no longer a big deal or a food to fear. You know exactly how much is enough by listening to what your body is telling you - you don't need a "program" to give you permission.
A classic example is a client I had, let's call her Leah. She binged on chocolate every night. But after a while of consistently nourishing herself throughout the day and knowing she can have chocolate every day if she wanted to - she found that a few bites of chocolate did it's job at satisfying her craving! This is not magic, its Intuitive Eating⚡. .
Intuitive Eating is a skill we all have! We were born with this ability. .
To let go isn’t to forget, not think about or ignore. It doesn’t leave feelings of anger, jealousy or regret. Letting go isn’t winning and it isn’t losing. It’s not about pride and it’s not about how you appear and it’s not obsessing or dwelling on the past. Letting go isn’t blocking memories or thinking sad thoughts and doesn’t leave emptiness, hurt or sadness. It’s not giving in or giving up. Letting go isn’t about loss and it’s not defeat.
To let go is to cherish the memories, but to overcome and move on. It is having an open mind and confidence in the future. Letting go is accepting. It is learning and experiencing and growing. To let go is to be thankful for the experiences that made you laugh, made you cry and made you grow. It’s about all that you have, all that you had and all that you will gain. Letting go is having the courage to accept change and the strength to keep moving. Letting go is growing up, it is realizing that the heart can sometimes be the most potent remedy. To let go is to open a door and to clear a path and set yourself free!
And that’s why I love caterpillars and butterflies... It’s all about cycles! Closing one door and opening a new one. You see... the caterpillar has to suffer silently in a cocoon in order to become a gorgeous butterfly. Sometimes what seems to be the end is really just a NEW BEGINNING! My dear, CHANGE is painful in the beginning but sooo worth it in the end! Trust me, you will thank me later!
Crazy morning. I woke up late and had to rush to get all the kids ready. I knew breakfast wasn’t going to happen for me to I made bulletproof coffee instead. Some ghee, the mct oil I got yesterday, collagen peptides and a little @califiafarms creamer. Yummy and will tide me over until lunch.

I believe everyone has experienced the negativity or toxic narratives of others, and it can be challenging. Sometimes they are your friends, your co-workers and sometimes they are your family. I think the later is the most challenging to deal with, because you feel an obligation of loyalty to them. However, sometimes their narrative of a situation can cause a lot of turmoil in your own personal life. Whether it’s the person you fall in love with, past mistakes that you’ve made (we all have them) how you parent, or whatever the case may be. Don’t let these people get you down! You are doing the best you can. Every situation is a learning experience, take the time to learn from it, but love yourself enough to let it go. Feeling hurt over it all the time will not serve you. Be kind to yourself, if it doesn’t feel right it’s ok to walk away. Blessings to all of you going through the everyday struggles. Trials and tribulations. Try and unlearn all the bullshit you’ve been taught since you was a child. You did not come from monkeys. Your not here due to some Big Bang theory. Every last one of you that’s on the other side of this message was formed and molded by the hands of God. Your all blessings from the almighty and here for a reason. Don’t ever forget that in them moments where you try to convince yourself you are not enough. #youareenough#godsplan#itwaswritten#ourfatherinheaven
We are not isolated individuals but part of the family of all living beings. Everything we own, everything we enjoy, all our opportunities for spiritual development and even our very body come from the kindness of others. Geshe kelsang gyatso.

Completing my first 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at @island.yoga was a Caribbean dream come true. Arriving on ‘one happy island’ a few days early allowed me to rest, settle and indulge in some delicious ocean therapy to prepare myself for the coming weeks. I would highly recommend gifting yourself this space if you can.
Accommodated at @costaesmeraldaaruba a comfortable 5 minutes walk from YTT HQ I was beyond pleasantly surprised by the set up. As a 33 year old woman its been a long time since I have shared a sleeping space with three strangers and I have to confess I did feel a little like Harry Potter waking up for his first day at Hogwarts... However I needn’t have worried as the Team had clearly put so much thought into the room allocations and I was so grateful to find myself surrounded with three women my own age with lots in common. If you’re unsure about whether to go for the shared or solo set up... challenge yourself to share. This course is an emotional rollercoaster of a ride with a multitude of highs and potentially some layers of the low so having a support structure around you is a true blessing in disguise, especially if you have a tendency to isolate when the comfort zone closes in.
Situated on a busyish road of humble habitats it’s easy to spot the fresh face and familiar features of the Island Yoga Studio. Take a deep breath in as you pass through the welcoming wooden doors, because much like walking into a beloved’s kitchen there’s an inexplicable feeling of ‘coming home’. Maybe that’s through the smiling hearts of the humans waiting to greet you, or the cosy layout of the tantalisingly tempting shop, or perhaps it’s the moment that your feet touch down into this experience, you’ve arrived, you’re here.
The shalas pulse with resonant space and have hidden healing woven within their walls; the shear act of rolling my mat out created a different kind of depth within my breathing cycle. Marvel at the talent of @courtneybetts ’s mandala asana artwork and catch a quote or two as you stroll on through to the @nourish.aruba garden. Blink as the sun softens your gaze and drink in the delicious atmosphere that awaits you.

Are you ready?
Du bist immer bereits weit genug.
Wenn auch niemals fertig.
Bist Du bereit?
Was dann passiert, ist reine Magie.
Are you ready?
LOTS OF LOVE,
Joseph Campbell once said that we are not looking for the meaning of life, but for the EXPERIENCE of being alive. Connecting to the alchemical spark that lies in the integration of 7 of Kai’s core concepts, including the 5 elements in nature , is at the heart of Kai. Skilled execution of traditional exercise will deliver fitness and an acceptable body shape, perhaps even exceptional one....however connecting more deeply, refining movement thru being connected to the body somatically as it encounters life in relation to self and it’s environment creates a whole different dimension and human experience. Kai delivers this. A poetic and artistic experience that integrates and embodies life as a dance. The “Kai “Somatic Artist” year long 200 hour training is coming soon. Apply today! Daily reminder that YOU are enough, YOU are beautiful, and YOU are worthy!! Don’t forget it, ok 👌😘❤️ I have to remind myself we are all human and we ALL go through things, no one is perfect. It is so easy to compare our lives to others (especially on social media) but we must remember that what we see is only a small glimpse into someone’s world. Let’s lift others up because EVERYONE needs positivity in their life ❤️
Guys, here are a few tips to avoid the basic common everyday mistakes people like me usually make in summer:
- Don't forget a light moisturizer. People think if their skin is oily, keeping it not moisturized is the best way to tackle it. That's wrong. Your skin needs hydration to trick its cells that enough oil is being produced so your face is not attacked by a country looking for oil.
- PUT SUNSCREEN ON YOUR NECK TOO. I usually forget this step. Now my face is pale and neck is tanned.
- Don't forget to put on sunscreen in general. I like tans that people get but skin colors like mine (devoid of the beautiful melanin) just get RED and discolored.
- Take a water bottle along with you. Seriously. It has saved me too many times when I almost passed out in wards.
- Keep tissue or a hanky with you.
- Keep a small perfume with you. I like miniso perfumes for this. They're small, with a not so sharp fragrance and easy to carry.
- Keep a lipstick or gloss with you. It can brighten up your face in moments.
- Avoid cotton. Stick to lawn. Have you seen how hot it is outside?
- How do boys manage to wear jeans all day? I wore it like twice the whole month and well, my body was mad at me.
- Keep some dates or candies in your bag. If you don't like them, no worries. If you see a kid around, give it to them. It's not a big thing but small things like these keep me going in the day.
- Give kids smiles if you see them around. Those little devils love smiles.
- Don't let yourself lash out on anyone because of your frustration and hot weather. The weather will pass. The words will remain.
Take care, aye.

💙 You are enough 💙
My friend sent this to me on Tuesday after a particularly trying afternoon. After a fab morning out with the boys, William decided to throw THE mother of all tantrums.
He just did not want to nap - I mean the fact he could barely keep his eyes open clearly didn't mean he needed sleep 🙈 But ya know, toddlers knows best!
Then throw into the mix the fact that Thomas was starving, so he was crying in one room while William cried in the other. I literally wanted to shoot myself in the face, it was beyond stressful!
I've never been one to let my little ones cry it out, it just hasn't been my parenting style. But, having two smalls means that I sometimes have to make choices that I don't always like.
So, knowing that William was safe in his cot, I decided to feed the small one and get him to sleep first as out of the two, he is the more vulnerable and I wouldn't want to starve him or let him sit and cry. I sat in the opposite room to William listening to him cry in his cot and it broke my heart 💔 Having two children so close in age is the most amazing, yet hardest thing I have ever ever done.
Do you ever feel like you are enough when your a mummy? Does it ever get easier?
Self doubt plays a massive part in my day to day life and I constantly worry about the decisions I make as a parent. It's impossible to be there for both boys constantly all of the time. I need to split myself in two!
Today we are #winning and both boys have napped at the same time. Not all days are such a challenge but some times us mumma bears need to keep each other going and remind each other what a great job we are doing.
Big love to all my mummy friends. This parenting life is damn hard! XoXo
30 days....what a difference 30 days can make. But I’m SURE not done!
What is going to be your journey in the next 30 days? You know I would love to help you with your journey! I’m looking for 5 people to join me on 9/10 in my second round of LIIFT4.
What is stopping you??
As a new mom this is something that I have to remind myself daily. I am E N O U G H 💗 my tiny human loves me and I am doing my best. The mom job is so much more trying, tiring, and overwhelming than starting my own business. However, at the same time it is 100 X more fulfilling 💛 and the love that you get in return from that tiny little human makes everything so worth it.
The last pre-pregnancy full body picture I have in my phone is this one from June of 2017, and the only reason I have it is because my sweet mama loves taking pictures.⠀
I used to hate getting my picture taken because I didn’t want to have to think about whether the camera was showing my best angle, if my chin and arms looked defined, or my hair was cooperating. I spent more time worrying about how I looked than enjoying the moment and realizing the camera was capturing something I’d want to remember years later.⠀
Being an encourager for #TheAuthenticWoman campaign has been incredible. I’ve seen so many photos of women who are beautiful inside and out, and guess what? Most of those photos weren't taken by a professional — something I always thought was necessary in order to post on my feed. Some were more curated than others, but no matter the angle or background of the photo, what I gravitated toward most was her smile and message. My photos? One was of me and one was of a quote. I’ll give you one guess as to which photo got more views, likes, and comments. Yup, the one with me in it.⠀
The message of the campaign is that all women are worthy — something I believe about others, but wished I could believe about myself and see portrayed on social media. In 3 short days I’ve grown to believe that I am worthy and don’t need to have a professional picture to post on my feed because an average picture gets more views, likes, and comments than a stock photo. I’m not basing my worth on those things. My passion is to spread a positive message and if posting a picture of myself is the way to get more people to hear it then you better believe I’m going to start doing more of that.⠀
Here’s to getting back to the heart of what social media should be about — sharing our stories, meeting new people who share a similar story (I met @katherine.herbison through this campaign and our stories are so similar it’s crazy), sharing messages we’re passionate about, and lifting each other up. Let’s take this movement beyond 3 days and show the world that other women are worthy, we are worthy too, and magic happens when we support each other.
Did you know you were a badass??
So much of what being a coach has taught me is that we all tell ourselves BS stories that we take as truth.
We don’t have time to ____
We always quit.
We can’t stop ______
We don’t know anything.
Blah blah blah
I’m still working on my own as I help others combat theirs, but I’ve found only one thing to be true. We are all capable of more than we think.
When I started coaching, i had so many limiting beliefs...I was too awkward to do this, would never be the fit girl, had no time, wasn’t good at talking to people, and barely left the house.
Though many of those things are the case, the belief that they would hold me back was untrue. And a great side note is that I have more and stronger friendships now that I have connected with my tribe!
You are enough. Always know that ❤️
