I think we have a new egg layer in the flock!!!!!👏🏻
Olivia went to check yesterday and there was a small super light brown one in the box!! So exciting😁
I can’t wait to see all the colors of eggs the girls give us. Anyone want to be on the list to get some eggs in a few months?!🐓🍳🥚
Our #travel day to #Maine was long and tedious. Our trip was supposed to take us 3.5 hours, leaving from our camp in the #Berkshires and heading up along the northern border of #Massachusetts toward the #coastal region. Of course, this #momma has #fourkids as travel partners (hubby joined us two days later) which means potty stops, lunch stops, snack stops, and #nursing stops for my #breastfedbaby ...and all of these diversions from our course lead up to a whole heap of extra time piled on the trip.
We left camp around noon and expected to arrive well before dinner, but all of our stops, plus heavy traffic for an hour meant that we ended up checking into our hotel in York and grabbing a pizza for dinner, then heading straight to #longsandsbeach in #yorkmaine to fill our bellies and grab that first #ocean moment of the #vacay 🏝😊. I always love and cherish those first few moments at the beach with the #kiddos as they dance among the waves in squeals of delight. Here are a few of the shots from those special soul-filling moments.
We didn’t stay long at the beach that night due to the timing of high tide coming in, as well as Miracle Man’s sensitivities...”Ewwwwwwwwwwwww...this beach is really stinky mommy. What’s that smell?! Can we leave? I don’t like it!!” So Long Sands Beach is very long (2 miles) and there’s plenty of sand to frolic in...during low tide. But come high tide, there’s hardly a spot to stand on. The beach is nice, sand is packed down, surf reasonable to handle with the kiddos alone, but stinky...especially near the city water drainage sites...stay away from them if you can. Also...parking is along the side of the street and each spot has a number you need to remember to pay for your spot at the parking meters. That first night, the meter was a bit faulty and I hadn’t been able to use my credit card to pay, so it was a good thing I had singles and quarters on me. Note: meters do not give change back, so make sure you have singles and quarters unless you plan on spending the day there. And if you are staying the day, make sure you set up your spot close to the street or you’ll be in trouble come high tide! 😳 #blogpost#instablog
