An open letter to the woman/man waiting for the right time:
I want to tell you that there will never be the right time.
Waiting for the right time to get better is simply an excuse.
The phrase, “I WILL GET BETTER WHEN...”
Or “I WILL TAKE CARE OF MY PROBLEM AFTER...”
Is YOU saying you are not ready and that you are also so scared
This is keeping you safe. Keeping you in the comfort of your mess.
Trust me I get it. Staring at my Christmas Tree is brings me back-
I WANTED TO WAIT
I Kept saying “I’ll take care of after the holidays”
The sad truth: would I make it to another Christmas if I waited? What would be my excuse after saying “I will take care of it after Christmas?”
Listen, I know the fear. I know you deep down want to get better and love an amazing life but you are terrified. Terrified of the unknown. I know this. I was there.
I know your mind is racing a million miles an hour. I know you are anxious.
What I also know... is that you are STRONGER than you think
I am here. On the other side telling you that these feelings are normal.
I am also telling you and asking you to dig deep.
I will finish this letter to you by saying I understand you. I understand WHY you say those phrases to keep yourself safe.
I believe in you. I desire YOU ago believe in you.
I got you :)
Together, let’s find solutions instead of making excuses
