I’ve teamed up with some awesome yoga teachers to bring you #AJourneyTowardsWheel with poses to open our hearts, strengthen our shoulders and conquer the fear that comes with deep backbends like wheel. .
Over 8 days, we will work all the preps to set you up for success to either drop back into your wheel or press it up from the ground. .
The line up of postures is open to all abilities. I will personally be demonstrating the daily posture in a video, be sure to check in for ideas to get into a posture or further your practise. .

May those next 15 days be filled with gratitude. Think about your year. Think about your achievements and your obstacles.
Be thankful the good events that have given you joy and the bad ones that have brought you self-knowledge and strength to be who you are today.
Be thankful the people who treated you well and gave you smiles on the face and the bad people who hurt you but made you recognize who you don’t want to be or showed you how you react to certain situations.
Self-knowledge is everything. What happened only happened because you had the capacity to go through it. Because today, you are the most being that could be. No more, no less. Enough. Gratitude.

one of the most amazing ways to strengthen your faith & ignite your sacral (creator) chakra is to do what you love... but just for you. Some nights I’ll sit for hours writing, singing, painting, chanting & connecting to Jesus, Shiva, goddess Kali & many other spiritual ‘mentors’. It’s a powerful connection if you allow yourself to dive in. I always say I’m at my happiest when I’m spending time with God. This is the best way I know how. Pointed toes don’t just look pretty 💁🏻♀️ They encourage the leg muscles to engage and switch on 🔆 When the legs are engaged they’re working FOR you, helping lift you up or open you up. Otherwise they’re just dead weight—and the legs are pretty heavy so that’s a lot of extra weight you’re having to work with! .
Try this in your next practice, and not just with these three postures but with your handstand kicks or lifting your legs up in your headstand. Use your powerful leg muscles to take you further in your postures! .
You’ll see that you have a lot of strength you didn’t know you possessed already there ready and waiting .

Today, it is my 32nd anniversary. 32 years spent on this planet, in this reality. It’s been a Journey so far!
Paramanand yoga institute was the best birthday present I could ever give to myself.
Two days ago I was given also my spiritual yogi name. “Ma Usha Anand”, (“Goddess of Blissful divine Light.”) the name of my true self, given by Guruji, Dr.Omanand at the ceremony. This ceremony is called “Spiritual birthday”. It has been The Process here as well! Very nice and strong.
