ONE whole month. 😍
Likes: holding up my head, observing ceiling beams & trees, being read to, kicking my legs, listening to Van Morrison & the Beatles, sleeping on Daddy’s chest, loungin’ in the stroller, E•A•T•I•N•G, and screaming between the hours of 5:30ish-8:30ish each evening. 😏
We LOVE you, Penelope. Still can’t believe you’re ours. 💕👨👩👧
I promise to always be kind,
I promise to look up at the stars more,
And at my feet less,
I promise to love genuinely,
I promise these things for myself, first.
And I wish these things for others, always🌙
For the last two months I’ve been in a constant change. My left eye has been pulsing for days and I guess it is because my left side is not interesting to see all the change and overwhelming. Looking for a thought to share this came up. I needed this. So thank you to myself for the reminder. 😊🌻

“Some people aren’t gonna choose you.
And it’s not that you’re not enough or
that you’re not worthy,
it’s that they don’t feel they are.
Some people can only handle a spark
And not a whole flame.
Some people can’t stand in your light
instead of lighting up with you.
So they choose comfortable instead
Let them settle.
You, you go.
Rise forth and carry on like wildfire.
Set the world ablaze.” ~Unknown

Final Day: August 2018 is over in a couple hours and I doubt my yoga posts will stop because the energy is so positive here it makes you want to share it. All of it starts with her: the boss, la jefa, la patronne, ang amo, ke kahu wahine, bosu... she's @lauren.asana and she cultivates a loving environment for her yoga family. She also gives amazing (usually sweaty) hugs! Come in, take a class, and have a chat! #grateful#yogi#yogini#yogatribe#nadolife#yogalove#fitness#sandiegofitness#love#yogaeverydamnday#family#yourvibeattractsyourtribe
I started teaching yoga full time. Between teaching, preparing for my classes and keeping up my own personal practice I’ve been tired. But a different kind of tired. It’s not the same as being tired and uninspired. When you put your whole heart and energy into something because you’re passionate about it, it’s different. Despite feeling on the verge of a burnout, I pulled my ass out of my house last night to try something I’d never done, jiu jitsu. And I had to laugh at myself because I forgot what it feels like to go to a class. Forgot what it felt like to go into something you have no experience with. I was totally nervous as I sat in my car in the parking lot thinking about how I just wanted to drive back home and not do it. I thought of my students who sometimes have similar feelings. It ended up being amazing. Super empowering. It was a women’s class and everyone was so encouraging and everyone lifted each other up. I practice yoga everyday but it was good to move in a different way. We can make excuses all day. Claim we don’t have time, or that we are tired, or that we work all day. But the truth is that it’s exactly that.. an excuse. You’re not to busy. It’s just how you prioritize your time. If you truly believe that you are so busy that you can’t set aside twenty minutes (because it doesn’t have to be this big hour or ninety minute event) to move but you spend that twenty minutes.. scrolling Instagram or watching tv or whatever then maybe it’s time you reframe your mindset on being to busy. Maybe start to reframe your perspective into something that actually serves you.. because excuses don’t. So I hope you move today. Whether that be yoga or dancing or walking or anything at all.
Let us rise up and be thankful✨
What an amazing day to be thankful for, I'm alive. I have this life to be happy and sad for. I woke up today with a smile on my face. Nothing felt like an effort to make through it and every single thing reminded me about DAMN THIS IS BEAUTIFUL💙
You know what? Everything has a wonderful energy if our perspective is beautiful.
It's so easy to drawn by our thoughts and I'll not let that shit happen again.
What about you? How you feeling today?🍂
Meet longtime 105F'er (and South American beauty!) Daniela, who shares with us her yoga journey at 105F. Daniela, we are so very grateful for you and your radiant presence! Be sure to visit our FB page for Daniela’s complete story! ✨💖🙏🏽 #humansof105F
“In January of 2009, nearly ten years ago, I had just returned back to work as a preschool teacher. I was feeling extremely overwhelmed at all levels. The demands from the preschool program and from the school administration were too much. My sister had been recommending hot yoga for years. I was so down and exhausted that I decided to walk into 105F and give it a try.
The first three classes I thought I was going to die! I remember how, when the teachers stressed to stay still during “Dead Body Pose,” I couldn’t move. I actually did feel close to... death! And then after class I truly felt as if I had died and then resuscitated in 90 minutes. I didn’t have the frantic energetic edge, the worry, or the negative thoughts I had when I entered the yoga room. I always walked out of class with a peaceful energy that let me focus and accept myself the way I was or was not.
Despite the life challenges I have experienced since I started my yoga practice, my body and my spirit have become stronger and more flexible. I have learned to focus on my breathing and be patient with myself. I’ve been able to make important decisions, overcome major family crises, change my approach to education and be less judgmental of myself and others. I can keep the necessary balance between strength and flexibility, like a tree with strong roots and flexible branches that can adapt to all types of weather no matter how extreme it might be.
105F is a safe haven for my body and spirit. This may sound like an exaggeration but every yoga class I attend feels like a miracle. I never check who is teaching and I always seem to have the perfect teacher for what I need to work on that day. Even the times when I feel the the room is too hot or humid or the pace of the class too fast or slow, I realize they are just reminders of issues I need to work on -- both during and after class.”
#MeditationintomySoul you and me have be struggling like... A LOT🤔
Even just taking time to sit down and #breathe with you. Yes, I stop, pause etcs. But do I REST my Soul in my #Meditation NO! I've cheated my #Soul out of this for a long time NOW😕
Life came to a HUGE stop for me when I took my break! I realized during that time I TRULY hadn't come to the acceptance of #losing my #Breast to #Cancer while away more #SkinCancer those you get used to, yet EVERY single time, you here malignant its like another brick. Looking in the mirror, my WHOLE Iife I was #busty got picked on, so you find that you get the markers for it. Yrs ago there was a lump. WE decided NOT implants due to a #braintumor YES! BUT, it hit one day like a ton of bricks how altered I'd become. Feminine wise, in my eyes, even my son made reference to! 'You just look different, not gonna lie'... Nope we don't👌 I felt the same, ask ANY WOMAN who's #Breastweretaken Already lack a sense of security due to my 1st #braintumordefeicts and I'm GROWN Then 2yrs later you get another brick, you have another #inoperablebraintumor So, I NEEDED TO #BREAKTOMEND Long talks with the best hearts, centered souls, THIS LAND...oh just sighhh🌳🍃🍁 #healingisNOTeasy#ittakesSOUL
So, once again I am here... I'm calling back my #SOUL you are here and #present the hards are meant to felt, these are designed specifically for you. The footprints are prepared, just hold to that plan He set. You're stronger, weaker, harder, softer, taker, giver, fighter and a lover. YOU ARE FUCKING AWESOME✊ So as I # meditated the humidity is low this morning, there's a slight breeze, leaves are dropping and as I listen to it all... For at least 10 minutes #everything went #completelyquiet ✨
I have missed you🙏☄💛
Day 18 of #YogaFeels with @cyogalife: #mandukasana
I've long accepted how tight my hips are so this one's not exactly my favorite pose. However, surrendering to this pose, letting your body move deeper on its own, makes it so much better. .
In motion... aren’t we all? The last few days brought on promptings and desires for newness. A detour in my usual daily routine. The moments after and before a task or client, to pause. To sit and watch the silence around me, become me. And hear the layers of sound in the world spiral louder, as if serenading me. I watch the concept of time evaporates as if time is bending and morphing. Silence this, so healing. This, speaks so loudly. Home again. Inside this. So I can hear again. After so, it sends me back into motion. This, in a new yet familiar way. #bliss My yoga is this. #yoga#yogaeverydamnday @yogaworks #breathwork#meditation @unplugmeditation pic by @nicolegoddard
Do you ever miss aspects of yourself? I do.
Some days (like today) I miss the Tracy that was more fun and free. Even though I am still her and she is still me, who I was yesterday is no longer who I am today. #foodforthought .
Day 6 of #DancingIntoFall is dancer pose using a doorway (or window sill in my case). Old photo taken while traveling because I’m having a severe case of #wanderlust and #longing . #getmeoutofhere .

#purvottanasana means intense eastward facing stretch. As the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, the east is known as the direction of new beginnings and budding potential. In Upward Plank Pose, we draw on the strength of the core and leg muscles, as well as the support of the shoulders beneath the heart.
This one has been elusive for me on the past months since my shoulders were too tight to allow me to perform it. But now I feel comfortable again when practicing it. .
Diviértete, vuela muy lejos, que si llegamos a viejos y nos vemos te diré te odio, después de aspirar tu pelo, y si morimos y vas al cielo me escaparé del infierno y te haré el amor en una nube en honor a nuestros recuerdos.
Through my practice I have learnt that my body can only gradually accept certain postures, I have to proceed gently, and with time I have learnt to breathe more easily in more advanced postures such as this King of The Dancers variation you see in the video. Regardless of my flexibility (as you can see one of my sides is more flexible than the other which is normal) I try to focus on maintaining a link between my breath and my body - as my body moves the breath moves, so the breath and the body become one movement and one process. There is a natural elasticity in our bodies that is enhanced as we breathe during our practice - so I always try to focus on my breathing, and I don’t force anything, to me it is much more important to focus on the way a posture and the breath feel like rather than what the posture looks like.
PS I sped up the beginning of this video to try and make all of it fit into one minute.
