P. S . Fun fact- In middle school I wanted to learn how to break dance and my brother was protective and said no.
I was tempted while sitting on sideline being a spectator of my bro and his homies practicing. The tom boy in me couldn’t help it. 🤷🏼♀️💁🏼♀️
Now I am older and still got parts of it in me joined with my yoga. 😂
.T E N S I O N .
My body has been shouting this out at me as the weather shifts from sunny to gloomy.
My massage therapist tells me I have tons of knots on my left side.
My acupuncturist finds the same tension on my left side.
We have not figured out exactly why only the left side of my body is tensed.
I keep getting these left side neck pains.
And I won’t give up and stop my yoga sessions.
I push through to challenge myself cautiously.
Sometimes we have to just slow down and listen to our body and take it easy.
So the tension can be released and prevent any further injury.
Rest is good for you.
Listen to your body.
Yes— I am pretty stubborn.
Fine I will settle for some light yoga sessions for this next week.
Reminder to self—- rest is good!

We all got different kinds.
Not want to have exact replicas of each others curves.
When did I start to accept my body whole heartedly?
Yeah—- it was last year.
I went through my ups and downs of liking, loving, then disliking my body.
Not until I started to look deeper into my heart and where my self worth came from was when my true inner self accepted myself wholeheartedly.
With all the curves I been blessed with I have come to love all of what I have and what I do not have.
I am so grateful for all these stages of evolving. It has taught me so much about myself and now I feel so much of that power from within—- I want to help other women to do the same!

It’s stretch/yoga time for this momma. I haven’t had my weight training days because about two weeks ago I had a sharp pain going through my left back waist and buttocks. At first it got numb didn’t think much of it but as time went by the pain kept getting sharper and sharper. So I took myself to the ER. Anxiously waiting to make sure it wasn’t something severe/life threatening. Well doctor comes back and tells me I have DDD➡️Degenerative Disc Disease. I personally don’t think it’s a diseases lol but having zero knowledge and having pain at the same time I was devastated. I cried and I thought “well what can I do now? I have a house to care for, children to take care of, puppas to care for while my husband is deployed” i was overwhelmed. It took about a whole month to adjust to the pain and work with it. Instead of feeling like “oh poor me” defeated, scared, I took this as a learning lesson. One, that God will always love me and guide me in the right direction, 2, to slow down, just breath, and 3 to love, be more patient with myself so I can be my best to serve my family. As they say “ your setback is the platform for your comeback” ..
Lactancia materna! .
Una de las cosas más maravillosas que he hecho en mi vida y también una de las más abrumadoras.
Los beneficios de la lactancia materna son miles, desde que es el mejor alimento para un recién nacido, es equilibrado y contiene todos los nutrientes que ese bebé necesita. También tiene beneficios para su sistema inmunológico y su salud a largo plazo. Incluso la leche va cambiando según las necesidades del bebé e incluso según la hora del día. .
Increíble no? .
Pero después de que es lo mejor que puedes hacer por tu bebé, hay momentos en los que es duro. .
Estar ahí para que el bebé coma cada 2 o 3 horas, darle de comer 2 o 3 veces durante la noche, cansancio acumulado. .
A veces no poder ni hacer pis o lavarte los dientes cuando quieres.
Y te duele todo el cuerpo de cargar con él esperando a que se duerma, no te quieres ni mover para que no se despierte.
Y cuando lo pones en su cuna y se despierta... Vuelta a empezar
Y ya ni hablemos de querer hacer yoga a una hora específica, podrás hacerlo cuando él se duerma y puede que se vuelva a despertar 5 minutos después de empezar. Pero te sonríe y todo te da igual, solo importa esa sonrisa.
Te hace sentir especial que sólo tú puedas calmarle cuando se pone a llorar pero también pensar que solo TÚ puedes calmarle.
Es duro, pero merece la pena! Sobre todo esos momentos cómplices cuando te mira a los ojos mientras está comiendo. Momentos inolvidables, lazos irrompibles que se crean entre vosotros.
También hay madres que por cualquier razón no pueden dar el pecho y está bien, también es maravilloso darle el biberón a tu bebé y que te mire mientras come.
Enamorada de la experiencia! .
