not much to report EXCEPT 1. I bought a dish towel with two dogs kissing under the mistletoe and it may be my best purchase of 2018 and 2. I made a friend today!!! I know I sound pathetic for being excited about that but look: being 26 in a new city is not easy ok. as much as I love how many places I’ve gotten to live it means none of my friends are where I am 😩 where do 26 year olds make friends?? the grocery store???

by listening to my body and taking a rest. By choosing to sleep off my exhaustion instead of postponing it with coffee. By opting for a quiet day with just myself (+🐶) instead of overloading with fun appointments & seemingly urgent to-dos. I am grateful for those who taught me to seek out solitude & quiet to rest when I am tired. I am grateful for having learned the language of my body, for being able to read the sign for “ENOUGH, JOSEFINE. Let’s explore Agnistambhasana. 🧘🏼♀️This is Great for intensively lengthening the outer hips, groin and piriformis. To start, on either side. Stack your knee under your opposite ankle. 🧘🏻♂️Be sure your top ankle is outside the bottom knee. With the sole perpendicular to the floor. If you have tightness in your hips or feel pain, move into easy position. Simply, seated with your legs crossed in Sukhasana. 🧘🏼♀️Press through both heels and spread all of your toes wide. Flexing your feet. Actively pressing and activating your feet and ankles. For the challenge, slowly begin to walk your hands from your shins in front of you and fold your torso forward for a deeper release. You can also place a block under the forehead, especially if your hips are not allowing you to fold any deeper. 💨Keep awareness in your breathing. Deep inhalation’s and slow steady exhalations. Take 3-5 breaths each side. ❗️To release, walk your hands back to your hips. Kick your legs out and shake it out. ❌If you have or are coming off injury this is a contraindicated position at this time to practice. Especially if you have knee, hip, groin, or low back pain and/or injury.
