WOW! This one lit up the sides of my body. I couldn’t quite float the back leg up yet, although I came closer than ever. I’m balancing on my big toe. I’ve been told one day, I’ll just balance and my back leg will float up. That has been one of my favorite things about a regular practice; exploring and experiencing my body in such unique and surprising ways and then randomly... I’m in a pose I couldn’t comprehend or even dream of getting.

On being in “the flow”...
My head has been full of doubt & fear, and my body has been heavy, achy & sensitive lately.
My girl has been sick on and off for the longest time & my mommy instinct/empathy/intuition have all been in hyperdrive to the point of burnout in my own body.
Yesterday I felt blissful & relaxed during the 3 Rounding sessions at my teacher’s house (see my last post).....but exhausted & restless at the same time when I returned home. (I’ve heard this is “normal” during stress release)
I woke up in the middle of the night last night (my kid was playing in the bathroom) - but couldn’t fall back asleep after she did.
My head full of worry seemed to overflow & get very dark as everything in my mind got more and more delusional.
I sat up & meditated for 20 minutes around 2:30 and by 3am I was resting perfectly still and feeling at peace.
The words that kept coming to me were “Be in the flow”, and they kept on repeating & vibrating in my body until I fell back asleep.
Today I’m doing more resting - reading & feeling the comfort of that advice from source “Be in the flow.”

i touched down back home in CT last night and when i got to my apartment i couldn’t stop myself from crying. this past week has cracked me open. my heart was already so full from the love i felt on the reservation and the connections i made there. and i get home and i have surprises waiting for me. a few packages came, food cooked in the fridge, and a gift set up for me in my bedroom.
i couldn’t not cry at the abundance in my life. i am lucky beyond words. 2018 has been a year of getting clear on what my goals are and taking small steps to manifest them. it’s been about doing something every day that scares me. it’s been about learning from mistakes and making changes. and almost everything has turned out perfectly. even the things that didn’t, i’m at peace with. it’s a part of the journey!
2019 will be about more creativity, radical change, and diving fully into my dream life.

Last year I wasn’t sure I’d ever do a split again. I was recovering from spine surgery and was concerned the asymmetry of the legs would aggravate my spine and all the muscles around my hips were in shock from the trauma of the surgery.
Instead of giving up, I set a goal of working gently toward splits by listening and acting on the signals my body gave me✨✨
Now this pose requires almost no warm up for me to slip into, just one year later🥰Do you set intentions for your practice? Do you have poses you want to work toward?
I’m so excited to host an upcoming challenge #chooseyourresolution where we will all set our intentions for our 2019 Asana practice. If you’ve never explored doing this in your practice, give it a try and if you already do this join us too! Having specific poses I intend to work toward has completely changed my practice. I’m more focused and efficient on my mat and often times working towards one pose unlocks a series of others.
