Last week I got really excited telling a friend about the merits of flossing your teeth everyday.
So does my Adulting membership card come in the mail? Do I pick it up somewhere? What discounts do I get?
Last night Power Yoga Teacher Training started. This is my first (hopefully of many!) round co-leading and it’s so special. I have an incredible co-lead @geenegram and 3 awesome coaches. My best friend is taking the training. There are a total of 9 future yoga teachers in our group and I could not be mored excited to share my love of yoga with them and learn from them at the same time.
Pictured here is Erin, who I feel like I give a S/O to all the time but I’ll say it again: she was one my first, potentially my actual first, teachers at CorePower back in the day when I started. She went on to lead my extensions program after my sculpt teacher training back in 2012. I have learned so much from her, and I continue to learn so much from her. She is one of many teachers who have an impact on my practice, my decision to become a teacher and now my offerings as a teacher, and ultimately who I am off my mat as well. So much teacher love in my heart now and always! Yay for yoga!
I had no coffee today because we have no good coffee in the place we're staying right now and I am very pretentious about my coffe so I must admit that I was a bit grumpy today 🙈( I am a huge coffee addict) Had a nice breakfast outside, slept two hours on the beach, had lunch and started doing some work. I am preparing my family yoga workshop for Saturday at Dream Family Festival. And while I was reading through stuff it hit me: I loooove this so so much and I think this can help families connect on a whole new level. I think it's so hard to be a parent in this world today, to care and protect your kid, to give them enough space and freedom, to accept them for who they are, to find time to play or cuddle with them, to let them know you love them no matter what. And at the same time, it's so hard to be a kid nowadays with parents working a lot and not getting involved as much as kids need it. Every parent does what he thinks is best for the child( in most cases) but only a few parents care for the emotional balance of their kids, for raising kind and independent kids, aware of the world they are living in. I think family yoga can help a lot here, bringing kids closer to their parents and helping parents relax. Children and parents learning, moving and breathing together 👨👩👧👦 what a beautiful thing to be able to find time to do this together with your loved ones ❤
And now, because I started working on something that means so much to me, my mood changed. I am still sleepy despite the fact that it's almost 4 pm but I feel good.
The sun is shining and we are going to drive to the city to get some coffee!

🗣 @melissa.moffet In this picture I see years of hard work first as a dancer, and then as a yoga practitioner. I see my 13 year old self starting ballet and falling in love with the art. I see myself watching YouTube after YouTube video, studying the technique, stretching at home, and working so hard to catch up. I remember looking at myself in the studio mirror and never being satisfied with how I looked in a leotard and tights. I remember comparisons. But then I remember finding yoga, and though yoga learning to love my body. Learning to appreciate how it felt to dance and move, and then loving how it looked in turn.
So in this photo I see the merging of my passions, my hard work and dedication, and the slow appreciation of my body.

What does Yoga mean to you? "Yoga" is happiness to me. It is an initiative for healing my body n mind. Yoga helps me in channelising my energy towards constructive and purposeful work.
What's your favourite asana and why?
Overcoming a challenge procures to myself a lot of contentment. So chakra asana is a challenge which requires lot of strength n determination to do. I will be very happy when I can do this asana perfectly.
Tell us why you think everyone should practice Yoga?
In today's time everybody goes through stress.The secret to maintaining a healthy and happy life is the mind. So If people include yoga in their lifestyle, the relaxation it brings will stimulate the brain to heal from the stress. #Foreverfit
