I love this standing balance! It’s a really good prep for most standing balance poses and you can really build up your leg muscle when you extend the foot forward. I usually have this one in most of my classes. If you feel like it is too easy, even with the leg extended, try closing your eyes 😌 so many ways to challenge this simple standing pose and so many benefits.

🤗 uzun lafın kısası niyet ettim buna da başlamaya 😉🙏🏻 ————————————————————— ✨Challenge Announcement ✨⠀ Which arm is your strong arm? Which hamstring is that little bit longer than the other? Which side do you always take your photos from because it’s your ‘good side’? It’s time to throw all that to one side and #WorkYourWeakside 💪🏻🏼
Imbalances in strength and flexibility in the body are common but something we should always be looking to even out. We as IG yogis are notoriously bad for it, always opting to use our strong side to get the best photo we can! So join us for 10 days of focussing on where we need it most. ⠀ We want to see your pose of the day on the side that comes least easy to you. As always, practice both sides and maybe even take photos of both so you can compare and learn more about your own body🙏🏻🏼⠀ Dates: November 19 - 28 *I’m giving y’all plenty of notice so no excuses!!*

COMENZAMOS 2019 CON EL PROPÓSITO MÁS POPULAR YA CUMPLIDO!!!!!!
I had a productive afternoon for a Sunday! Focused on things I needed, and what people wanted during my practice 🙌🏼 Here is how I flip my grip, and get into reclined dancers pose. Warm up those shoulders and spine, also watch until the end, I am okay 😅
One simply does NOT need to be FLEXIBLE to participate in yoga practice. - - Now repeat that 3 times🔁 ❗️I will admit, I am a hypocrite when it comes to this thought process. Starting out - I not only would look in every direction but at my mat comparing my inflexible practice to what it felt like Cirque De Solei professionals...but I would just constantly get distracted, sucked into the world of Yogi Instagram Influencers - comparing myself to people who have been practicing for YEARS where I am a noobie getting upset after one attempt ❗️granted, I still get sucked into the social media world - getting upset, frustrated, impatient. ❗️because let’s face it - it’s a natural thing (especially in current day) to go online and see a “perfect pose” or image of someone who is exceptional. 🔅🔅🔅for my New Years resolution - I want to focus my energy on myself. Instead of comparing myself - work on myself. Remind myself, this is new. I am not naturally flexible, I am not naturally comfortable with inversions & IT IS OKAY. It is okay to take my time, be afraid but face the fears at my own time. My own pace. It is okay to compare myself to others BUT not to put myself down, but to be inspired and see how my practice similar to others around me can inspire others. See similarities, differences. Everything in between to make individuals unique.
So again, repeat 3 times “One simply does NOT need to be FLEXIBLE to participate in yoga practice.”
