Throughout the #GetDownAndYoga challenge I’ve met a few yogis who expressed their concern of how not being a former dancer and or gymnast made them feel rather shy about flowing on the mat. I feel you as I felt the same way! I did find, however, that our bodies are wired to move intuitively with rhythm. When someone tells me that they don’t know how to move, I'd always ask them what is your favorite genre / style of music? It is impossible for us to not want to move when the music gets our blood boiling! .
That is the case for me with Argentine Tango. Ever since my first encounter with a tango album it has firmly gripped my heart and soul. From “Le Grand Tango” to “La Cumparsita”, the instruments transport me to the summery nights in Buenos Aires instantaneously. .
A few posts ago, I wrote that I’ve always wanted to learn Argentine Tango. Since then I've wondered what exactly is holding me back? There is so much information online that there’s no excuse not to play and dabble! I know my techniques aren’t exactly there, and I simply couldn’t do the music justice yet. But this is me. I am owning it. .
Will you join me and create movements that speak to you about who you are for our last day of the challenge? It's been such a joy to ride on this past few days with you, and getting to know more about you. We hope you had fun and enjoyed the challenge, and picked up few quirky things to flare up your own practice!
Lastly, I am beyond THANKFUL for my incredibly beautiful co-hosts who constantly share their grace, expertise, commitment, and a heart for love of movements with us all!!! I am constantly in awe of every single one of you! ❤️❤️❤️ Can we do it again??? #GetDownAndYoga2 .0 😎 I’m down for it! .

On expire.
Inspire, envoie ton bras droit tendu loin devant, reste. Ressens l'etirement , le déséquilibre. C' est toi et toi même, connecté à la terre, à l'air. Trouve ton ancrage, fais toi confiance.

I worked in finance for 6 years, even relocated my family across the country (to a place where I knew noone) and one day they called me to let me go. For the last 2 yrs I've been angry about this. But today I let it go as I realize I had an unhealthy devotion to not the company but the image of what it meant to me. I HATED MY JOB!!! Everyday I would guide people through sometimes unrealistic financial options to resolve debt. So many times I'd speak to suicidal clients, or an elderly client whose only option would be a reverse mortgage all while working 75+ hrs a week to afford my suburban condo. I'd be so stressed from my expectations that I used to drink every night just to see the next day. .
I'm so glad they let me go and made me hire myself. I've come to understand that corporate America is not a place for me because I'm an individual. No matter what I do its never going to fit the mold & you know what I'm cool with that because it's honest. I'm tired of lying to myself that I was happier then because I wasn't. It was just easier to follow a script. As we end #venusretrograde I've opened my heart to establish a new relationship with money and how I'm able to earn it. I challenge you to be honest with yourself and how you earn money. We don't have to sell ourselves short to survive.
