Core workout for flat belly...Dedicating this beautiful morning to my cores and abs. The balance during boat pose during 1st & second sequence will work your core muscles. The more it strained, the more it is burning. Hold the pose and continue each sequence for 20 reps with gentle breathe in and breathe out. In case you are yet not there do hold up your legs straight, bend it to 45 degree or keep it as table top position. Understand your body and listen to it while doing sequences.

Did you ever come to your mat with one plan in mind and then end up somewhere completely different? Tonight I thought I'd backbend, but my body said "nope" and instead brought me to an #armbalance practice. Glad I followed my bodies request as I was finally able to pull of #firefly after working for it for what feels like ages. I lost this one after baby 2 and wasn't sure if id ever get it back...and looky here!

Today’s #yogachallenge is to pose/edit your pose at a historical landmark or famous destination in your country. Well... I’m from Manila, from the City of Pasay. Advincula is my last name and my great grandfather from my dad’s side happens to have a street named after him. So to me, this is a landmark and a famous destination. Ha! 🤩 Want more fun facts? The corner of this street is where I grew up in and it was my moms house and now it’s been turned into a Chinese Temple. I have this dream of one day buying it back and making it my home away from home when there. 🙏🏽✨ AND THEN, at the end of the same street is my dad’s house where my fam from back home still resides. My dad is 9 out of 10 so yes, I am a part of one Big Fat Filipino Family. ☺️To say that I’m proud to be an Advincula is an understatement. 🤗 This post is definitely dedicated to my roots. 🇵🇭♥️ #advinculapride

In conversations we try to connect with others through words, searching out who we know in common, shared life experiences, networking possibilities .. and still we crave more. Our goal this past weekend in our workshop was to dive into that deep reminder of the innate, never changing, depth of connection that exists always in all people through breath, eye contact, safe loving platonic touch (Thai massage & partner yoga). A year ago I could not have guessed how much sweeter life would get with the people who walked into it. Grateful to have connected with @casieinthesunshine and @yoga_with_heather and to be reminded of how powerful dropping your walls, rejecting a lens of comparison, recognizing the humanity in all, and supporting one another is in changing your life for the better. Thank you for the group who came to the first (of many more) of our workshops with openness and love, to @mindfulyoga_ for providing such a sweet space, @rob.zaccaria for always showing up and hilarious pep talks, and to @casieinthesunshine for being such a bright light in my life ✨

I look a lot like my father dressed up as my mother, travelled 33 years around the sun and plan on devoting this lifetime to serve my purpose here on earth. There's a load of healing needed (for all of us), but I'm dedicated to this journey. I feel the world of blessed having the opportunity to share the practice of Yoga and call it my job! Even more to feel so in tune to my path towards my dharma 🙏🏾

My favourite prop still and likely always will be the wall 💟
I have never been a naturally flexible person and only started doing the splits late last year. Everyday I work on opening up through the front of my quads and the back of my hamstrings as this is where I feel most of my bodily tension accumulates 💪🏽
This has to be my favourite activity when working on the wall! I'm working hard on my standing splits as well as generally ironing out some alignment kinks to my splits game. The wall is honestly the best alignment prop ever and I love giving myself them deep adjustments where I can just soften the body and bring myself deeper into the pose 🤸🏽♀️

Anyway, I decided to share this today to raise the topic of "expectation" and "blame"! I put it down to this, there's two types of people in the world.... those who are a slave to these two behavioural seeds or those who work to free themselves of these. THIS is where my intention lies throughout my practice ... what about you ❓🤔
