According to recent studies low back pain is largest cause of disability worldwide 😱😱
Luckily DBT has a super effective low back pain prehab checklist to ensure you don't suffer any longer!
In order of priority 👇🏻
✅ Mastering the hip hinge movement pattern is the most important priority in LBP rehab and the most protective for prehab. This will teach you how to disassociate the lumbo-pelvic region and control your movements more efficiently.
✅ Another great hip control exercise is quadrupted pelvic from lumbar flexion 👉🏻extension, try to minimize movement from the rest of your spine and focusing just on the lower back.
✅ Once you masted the previous exercise you can move onto hip CARs (controlled articulate rotation)
✅Do you hip flexor stretch daily for sets of 45-60 seconds especially between periods of sitting.
✅Now let's do focus on glute and core strength with exercises like deadbug, bird/dog, glute bridge, SL bridge, RDL, band walks etc.

Galletas de Navidad Veganas 🌱🌿🎄🌞 hechas con mucho amor!! INGREDIENTES:
* 3 tazas y media de harina de trigo integral * 1 taza azúcar rubia * Media taza de margarina (Deline es vegan) o mantequilla de coco o aceite de coco * 1 cucharadita de polvos de hornear
* Media cucharadita de canela
* 1 pizca de sal
* 1 plátano maduro
Para el glaseado, compre unos Veganos que venden de colores en una tienda en Manuel Montt.
O sino con azúcar flor y poquito de agua lo vas revolviendo hasta que quede la consistencia que te guste.
Para empezar se mezcla el plátano con la margarina y el azúcar rubio. Luego agregamos bien la harina con la sal, los polvos de hornear y la canela.
Se mezcla bien hasta que quede una masa sin grumos.
Extendemos la masa y la ponemos en el refri una hora para que endurezca. La sacamos y cortamos con los moldes. La dejan en un grusos ni Tan grueso ni Tan delgado
Con el horno pre-calentado a 200 grados, ponemos las figuritas en la bandeja del horno que ya tendremos cubierta con el papel de hornear.
Dentro estarán entre 5 y 10 minutos, según cada horno. El secreto es sacarlas cuando el borde empieza a cambiar de color.Se sacan y se dejan enfriar. Y cuando estén completamente frías agregamos la decoración 🌱🌿 y a disfrutar!!! #gratitude#love#vegan#eattherainbow#christmas#govegan

This is a tricky combination of mildly challenging ALL around, without actually seeming hard at all. It was fun, though, and my legs and feet definitely needed it. The concept of "yogi's choice always sends me into a tailspin of trying new cool things. Which is great, and some of the photos were hilarious and will be in my story. But my whole body from the waist down is kind of sore, so this was as restorative as it was challenging.😀💖
Quick Awareness Practice
Every time you get into your car, just stop. Take a moment of silence in, notice your breath and remind yourself that you are spinning on a planet in the middle of an empty space. Then remind yourself that you are not going to get involved in your own melodrama. In other words, let go of what is going on right then, and remind yourself that you don’t want to play the mind game.
Do the same when you get out of your car.
These practices create moments of centered consciousness.

Soooo... this is my second social media post in over 4 months💫
I’m happy to report- life does go on without social media and in fact very peacefully. A lot less FOMO and a lot more quality time with me, real physical people & things. I understand Social Media can be useful used responsibly... and yes - I will use it to shamelessly promote events, but MAN it does have a way of hijacking my mind… for me social media used to be all about inspiration and connections, but somehow, somewhere that all changed and became more about distraction, comparison and disassociation. Finding balance - Oh well... practice... practice... practice!😀

The strength and flow of the meridian system is essential for the harmonious balance in our body and mind.
In tomorrow’s workshop we will work with this concept and find new ways to move the Chi and unlock the life energy in our body to achieve maximum stability and flexibility as a vehicle to general wellbeing.
The class will alternate some Yang (dynamic) movement with some Yin (subtle) practice, Pranayama and Meditation. I used to be so mean to myself. I used to step on the scale and say “how much do I hate myself today?” (Yes I know how bad that sounds) My husband heard me and gently scolded me and I burst into tears. I figured the world judges me by my size so the reality to me was that’s somehow my worth if that’s how everyone else measures it. Thankfully, God never has, nor those that love me. I did that to myself because I felt like I could be doing better and I was mad at me. One time early on in a yoga class, the instructor said “tell yourself 3 things you love about yourself” and I nearly burst into tears because I could only think of one. I promised myself to never talk so hatefully towards me again. This morning I had that mean thought again (which I haven’t in a very long tome) and quickly told myself to name 3 things I love. I could name 4. So...you may see a change on the outside but I’ve really had to work at healing my heart. There’s lots of reasons for it - past trauma, etc, and I’m a continuous work in God’s mercy. I am loved for who I am. That’s an amazing gift. To love yourself less is so unfair. I still have a ways to go, I could name all my flaws, even the ones people still like to point out to me. Make your wellness journey fit your lifestyle, not the other way around. Whether you take classes on regular basis, go hiking, take short walks during your lunch break, take the stairs instead of the elevator, park your car farther away, exit the bus one stop early. All of those changes do matter. Make it organic, and do not force it. Give your body a chance to fall in love with being active 🥰

Ik ben nog steeds bezig met mijn yoga challenge om dit jaar ieder week minstens 5 keer yoga te doen. Tot nu toe is het gelukt en het jaar is bijna om. Ik denk dat ik het wel ga halen.
