Happy Thursday, peeps!
#realtalk time. My workout schedule is:
M O N : Chest, Shoulder & Triceps/ Cardio
T U E S : Back & Biceps
W E D : No Lifting/Light Cardio
T H U R S : Legs & Abs
F R I : No Lifting/Cardio
S A T : Chest, Shoulders & Triceps
S U N : Back & Biceps/Cardio
But then #reallife happened & my kids & I got sick on Monday. & of course, #husband is gone for a couple more weeks #militarylife .
Sooooooo, I changed it up. I took Tuesday & Wednesday off, hydrated, laid on the couch and binge watched Grey’s Anatomy with my kids who LOVE that show (how’d I get so lucky?!).
I was gunna take off as much time as was needed for our bodies to get back to normal, but we all woke up Thursday feeling SO much better. Everyone has been fever free for 24+ hours, so off to the gym we went. I did my normally Tuesday workout of Back & Biceps & can I just say that was the B E S T workout I’ve had in a while. The oldest kid went to school and the younger kids had a wonderful time playing & making crafts at the @ymca.
I feel refreshed as a human, as a parent, & as a wife. (Poor husband got the evil side of me yesterday because I was so exhausted)
Self-care is essential, y’all. Love yourself. Take care of your body & your mind. Others will thank you. Y O U will thank you.
Today was the first solid shoulder workout I've had since being sick a few weeks ago. While I've incorporated some shoulder exercises into a few workouts, and did a shoulder/back/arms day, this was a solid lift.
I'm excited to see the mass I've gained. And although I can't wait to cut and see what's underneath, I'm enjoying all the food.
Let's be honest. I'm so stressed. I'm sleeping terrible. And I'm craving all the junk. However, as important as those three things are factoring into my routine, and my results, I'm still lifting, getting those steady workouts in.
I'll just keep lifting, it's something I'm passionate for, it's a great way for me to relieve stress and tension, and ultimately I feel so much better knowing this is something I continue to accomplish. .
October 6th from 5pm-7:30pm!!! 🎊🎉🎁

I began my practice 17 years ago and continue it regularly to stay lubed and limber. This is yesterday at the #ymca •
Took my first spin class today!! And wooo wee was it something else! ...
If you saw my Insta story then you know I was feeling quite flustered from life in general leading up to this class. ...
Then add in a 15ish minute intermission as Lyla was having a meltdown in the kids play area and I had to go calm her down. ...
But I gotta say that overall I enjoyed it!! I mean, burning over 400 calories in about 40 minutes, not too bad if you ask me!! ...
But I will say that the feeling in my crotch/bum area was something new haha! I couldn’t tell if it was on fire or had gone numb. So there’s that. I think it’s just something you get used to 🤷🏼♀️
Overall a good experience that I hope to try again, hopefully minus the mid class meltdown from my child, but beggars can’t be choosers so I’ll take what I can get! .
