A very successful 5 hours out on the water. As I head down to the Cape tomorrow to do some fishing, I thought a throwback would be appropriate. The day started off before first light as we headed out in search of live bait. Live bait wells full, we headed to the back line in search of Garrick and managed to reach our bag limit within an hour with 6 big Garrick. We decided to try find some Yellowfin Tuna and after a couple hours of searching, we managed to connect with 2 beautiful Yellowfins on top-water poppers which is always exciting.
Cold Seafood Platter (serves 4 as a starter) #carbiedaphiesg#carbiedaphie
Steamed 1⁄2 Boston lobster, marinated yellowfin tuna with furikage, freshly shucked oysters, New Zealand green lip mussels & littleneck clams, cooked live tiger prawns, in-house apple wood cold smoked salmon. All in a sharing platter that serves 4 as a starter. I had this shared with my Cousin only and the 2 of us were in heaven. Loved the raspberry wine vinegar dressing and those mini poke bowls. What will you aim first if you have this platter right infront of you? .
