Thank you for being the kind, generous and thoughtful person that you are. Rangitau, oh boy lol... you are so hard headed and passionate in what you believe in. Repost By pre_constantine: Why #Jehovah#Jesus Cannot be the Names of the Most High GOD & Christ According to the #Hebrew Language.
First and foremost, as many people may already know, the letter “J” did #not#exist until about the mid-17th century (around 1634). In fact, the letter “J” was the last letter to be added to the English alphabet. Also, there are no J’s nor “J” sounds when it comes to #Ancient#Hebrew or Greek for that matter. Now that we understand that the letter “J” didn’t exist in the early 17th century(1600’s), let alone during the time of Christ, we can now move on to the next phase. A lot of scholars acknowledge the fact that the letter “J” is a #newly found letter and that the letter could have not been a part of the names of the Most High GOD and Christ. So instead of going deeper into the Hebrew Language to find the true names of the Most High GOD and Christ, they simply just #substitute the J with a Y. One of the claims that people like to make is that the name #Yehovah or #Yahawah or #Jehovah means simply “to be”. To an average unlearned person, this may make perfect sense.Example: The names Jehovah, Yehovah, Yahawah, and Yahweh are all synonymous. They all breakdown to the same base and root, prefix and suffix words:#Yah or #Jah = God or powers (H3050).The problem is that Jah or Yah alone does not signify what #god or #power it’s talking about. The #Greek word for Saviour?
G4990 sōtēr or so-tare.
The correct name of Christ is Yashaya in ancient hebrew meaning My=Ya saviour=Yasha(Matthew 1:21, Luke 2:11). #Iesous or #Jesus translates to "hail #Zeus " #Defaming Christ with a #Pagan name. Replacing his Hebrew name with a pagan #Greek name that honours a pagan god.
Luke 23:45 NKJV - “Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two.”
(QUESTION) - "What was the significance of the temple veil being torn in two when Jesus died?"
(ANSWER) - During the lifetime of Jesus, the holy temple in Jerusalem was the center of Jewish religious life. The temple was the place where animal sacrifices were carried out and worship according to the Law of Moses was followed faithfully. Hebrews 9:1-9 tells us that in the temple a veil separated the Holy of Holies (the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence) from the rest of the temple where men dwelt. This signified that man was separated from God by sin (Isaiah 59:1-2). Only the high priest was permitted to pass beyond this veil once each year (Exodus 30:10; Hebrews 9:7) to enter into God's presence for all of Israel and make atonement for their sins (Leviticus 16).
So, what do we make of this? What significance does this torn veil have for us today? Above all, the tearing of the veil at the moment of Jesus' death dramatically symbolized that His sacrifice, the shedding of His own blood, was a sufficient atonement for sins. It signified that now the way into the Holy of Holies was open for all people, for all time, both Jew and Gentile.
