Ever since I can remember,
I've always been a sceptic,
I questioned everything,
From people to Religion,
This is because people often weren't who they claimed to be,
And things often weren't what they seemed to be,
So, I learned early on,
That there was almost always a hidden motive,
Behind every action,
And there was almost always an agenda,
Behind every ideal,
So little by little I turned into a sceptic,
So I could see through the lies,
So I could peak through the blinds,
And see what the truth really was,
But maybe along the way I forgot,
Not everyone had hidden motives,
And not everything had a hidden agenda,
The truth is, I didn't chose to be a sceptic,
The world pushed me to be a sceptic.
In 1948, this refugee camp of 1km square received 16000 refugees from whole Palestine. Seham’s father, Shelby, was one of them. Now the numbers are not certain, but it’s said that there are 22000 people living inside the camp borders.
Shelby came from Nazareth, has already gone to another world, but four generations after, his family is still living in the camp, waiting to the day they will be allowed to return.
Sometimes you have to take the risk just to feel alive.
I left Germany. It was not for hiding or running away from something or someone. It was for searching and finding myself, my interests and passions, for connecting to my body again, for feeding my soul.
I needed the risk when I bought a car on my own to know I am independent, to feel that i have to loose something. Money is nothing until you buy something. Than it is worth more than the money was, because you can’t buy experience. You can just buy a car, a home that allows you to explore and experience new spots and things. To meet new people.
I need to risk something from time to time to remember I am alive. To know that life is worth so much more. To realize what I really want.
