Natalie Cabo is back with another two amazing poems. Natalie has been writing for Forge & Flint for so long, she's basically part of the furniture. We couldn't be happier or more proud to have this awesome poet on our team. "Ambiguity" is a shorter poem, which questions our we see ourselves, as well as how we think others see us. "All I See is You" is a beautiful love poem which concerns the all-consuming nature of love.
Check them out, and if you like them, don't forget to share with your friends and family!
✨My Exact Plan to Kick Ass in 2019 + Accomplish My Goals ✨
📍Step 1: Write them down!
Yes I am all about digital planning (i.e google calendar, asana, and all that jazz.) However seeing your goals down on paper really helps you identify exactly what it is that you want to accomplish.
📍Step 2: Plan Quarterly instead of monthly!
Got this gem from my amazing coach @erinmayhenry. It used to cripple me planning for the month and then feeling like shit when I didn’t achieve my goal. With a bit more time and strategy, whether for a personal goal or business goal it is possible for you to get exactly what you want.
📍Step 3: Start Now!
Don’t wait until the New Year. Do it today. Just think how much further along you can be on your goals instead of waiting for the whole month of December to pass you by.
Now I want to hear from you! Tell me in the comments below what your biggest goals for 2019 are.
Hello everyone! I'm starting to do something that I always wanted to do which is to make a web comic, however I am suffering with a creative block. The plot is pretty much straightforward and I already got the beginning and the end settled. This will be based off a Haunted Maze concept from Knott's Scary Farm which is Pinocchio Unstrung.
In this alternative take of the tale Pinocchio does not become a real boy and he becomes a homicidal maniac and goes off getting revenge on everyone he knows as well as the entire village with his army of marionettes as well as humans who are willing to kill in order to live. Also he became so obsessed on being a human so badly that he had to go through extreme measures such as cutting off people's skins and wears it on himself. For this comic I want to do a prequel where we show Pinocchio's downward spiral of insanity that drove him to become a psychotic killer.
I'm trying to figure out how this will play out as well as researching on the mind of a serial killer. I am not only looking for a script writer but I will also be looking for someone who is into this sort of thing and have a twisted sense of mind. This comic will contain violence, gore, and other horrific things.
I am more than willing to pay for the service as long as you guys do a great job. Just name your price!
Here is the video of the maze walkthough so you can get an idea of what this is about:
In case you guys need to reach me then feel free to PM me! If you need more info then I'm willing to give to answer it! #knottsscaryfarm#scaryfarm#webcomic#writersblock#writerswanted
Practicing gratitude was not easy at the beginning of my journey.
I was at the height of my depression and anxiety and felt that I had nothing to be grateful for.
How’d I change that mentality?
It was simple yet challenging.
Every day I had to make a decision to practice gratitude, practice telling myself that I am grateful to love and grateful to live.
Was it easy? HELL NO!
Was it worth it? Everyday
If there is anything I’ve learned during my journey of growth is that anything worth having doesn’t always come easy.
Comment below when you started your gratitude practice. 👇🏽
If you haven’t what are you waiting for?

I am not without fear because I am fearless. I am without fear because I have faith.
I don’t view fear the way I used to.
I am so confident in my faith that fear does not strike me the same way.
I believe that there is a higher power + the universe guiding me on the path that I am meant to be on.
I will become the person that I am truly meant to be because I know that I am taken care of through my faith + confidence in the universe.
Double tap if you know the universe has your back. 👊🏽
Taking a great leap of faith is not irresponsible
Deciding on the life you want to live is not irresponsible
Investing in yourself is not irresponsible
Being your most authentic self is not irresponsible
Believing in yourself is not irresponsible
All the things that you are meant to do and be are your responsibility!
You have the amazing opportunity to create a life you love, so why wouldn’t you?
Part 3- #healingbeeandhan 〰️
For the next 7 hours, I kept repeating “I was told he’s okay. He’s okay. He has to be okay.” 〰️
I met my sister and we drove to the hospital together.
All I could think was “what are we doing?? What is even happening? Am I having a nightmare? I hope we aren’t at the hospital very long, I hate how they smell.” 〰️
The elevator went up to the 6th floor. “Neurological Intensive Care Unit”
We walked towards two giant doors wondering if we were even allowed to be there. 〰️
They both swung open and down the hallway my eye caught a lifeless body in a hospital bed.
I turned around immediately. “No. no. Please tell me that isn’t him. This isn’t real. I can’t go in there.” Sarah caught me and gave me a massive hug.
We both knew it was him.
There was no running away now.

August 4th 2014.〰️
I got the call. “There’s been an accident. Your dad fell off his bike. He’s in the NICU”. Yet I was quickly reassured he was “okay”. My gut told me that no one goes to the Neurological ICU is “okay”. As I sat in bed, images flashed in my head creating every scenario imaginable.
〰️ “Was he hit by a car?” “Maybe his leg is broken?” “Wait no. Neurological. His brain? He always wears a helmet. He’s so careful.” “Maybe he will be out of the hospital by the time I get home.” 〰️
The thoughts came faster and moments later I experienced my first true panic attack. I felt as though someone was standing on my chest and then the tunnel vision began. My heart was pounding out my chest. I ran to my mum in terror thinking I was dying. She sprung up “Stop it. Slow down. Breathe. Take a deep breath. Settle yourself!!” 〰️
She squeezed me tight and I was forced take that deep breath.
“What was that?!?” I asked. “That’s a panic attack sweetie. You’re sleeping in my bed tonight.” 〰️
I’ll never be too old to sleep with my mum. I fell into a deep sleep for 12 hours and woke up feeling like someone ran over my body. There was no time to process that panic attack because it was time to get on a plane. Now there’s just hours between Dad and I.

“Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.”-John Lennon
This week has been INSANE for me.
I’m usually a planner + scheduler to a T!
That didn’t happen this week and I let myself get overwhelmed and missed some major deadlines.
However what I learned this week is that I do not need to let myself get overwhelmed.
Life is happening for me not to me.
So below are my intentions for the month of December.
1. I intend to prioritize my goals over everything.
2. I intend to be more present and aware.
3. I intend to keep myself accountable.
👇🏽Tell me below in the comments what your intentions are for the month of December. I want to hear from you!
PART 1- #healingbeeandhan
The story really needs to start a week before his accident happened when I found myself hiking the Camino de Santiago. Picture 19 year old Hannah, hiking 15-20 miles a day and journaling each night. 〰️
On July 27th 2014 I wrote: “I miss home. I miss dad. I miss him a lot actually. Wow I’ve never cried from missing him. I hate that I am sad for him. I wish I could make him happy all the time. He deserves that. He’s so intelligent, biased but very intelligent. He’s so good to me, never wavers from being there, supporting me, loving me. God he’s wonderful. I’ve never done enough for him. I wish I could give him more. I will after this trip, I will work on it. I will do better. He deserves that from me. I love you dad. You are so special. Thank you for everything” 〰️ We made it to the finish line of the Camino and it was time to fly home back to dad. I felt renewed on the Camino, ready to spend more time with him and my loved ones. It was August and I was preparing to transfer to VCU, finally coming home after living in Florida for a year. He had found me an apartment in Richmond. He had looked up the top 10 vegan restaurants there so we could try a new place for lunch every weekend. He had borrowed a truck to help me move all my stuff. Everything was falling into place. My wish to give dad more was coming true.

Grief is a mysterious thing. We all handle it differently. Some laugh, others cry, and there is no wrong or right way to go about it.
For Colby Carlson, our newest addition to the Forge & Flint team, he dealt with his grief through writing. He's given us permission to share his thoughts with you all, and hopefully, through them, you can find your own catharsis if you're dealing with loss.
And always remember; you are not alone. You are loved.
💫CREATE THE OPPORTUNITY
1. Decide on what you want. Specificity speaks directly to the universe.
2. Change your mindset. If what you are currently doing isn’t working stop doing it! The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
3. Try something new. Get out of your comfort zone. (That’s where all the good shit is!)
Tell me below: what are you open to creating for the rest of 2018 and beyond?

✨THE TOP 3 THINGS I LEARNED IN 2018✨
1. Be impeccable with your word. Honesty is easy. Anything else is hard + unnecessary.
2. Celebrate yourself + forgive yourself. “You take the wins when you can get them and you try not to let the losses throw you too far off track.” (from the show @cw_lifesentence )
3. Being yourself is your superpower. When you are true to yourself you become the light that the world needs.
What have you learned in 2018? Tell me in the comments! I want to know! 🧐
I thought I was probably crazy, reading that post.
A coach I followed on Facebook had posted about a new offering she had. According to this post, it was for 1 specific person, who would know who they are. There were very few details, very little explanation, just a “Hey. You know you want this. We should talk”.
And when my heart whispered “yeah that’s you”, I thought there was a good chance I was crazy. Or at least just a sucker for marketing.
What were the odds that this package was ACTUALLY meant for me? That something was REALLY that magically designed?
Ever felt that before? Heard someone describe an opportunity (business or otherwise), and felt a little soul nudge that it’s something you’re meant for?
Ever felt kinda crazy because of it?
Here’s the tea, babe. Our soul tells us stuff all the time, pointing us into miraculous and scary directions.
And how you respond to what your soul asks of you is, in my opinion, what CAN separate successful, fulfilled humans from those who leave their dreams on the table.
So when your soul tells you something, do you call yourself crazy, ignore the voice, and go back to doing what makes sense? What your logical brain can sign onto?
OR do you show up for yourself. Do you choose to trust that your heart knows what you need, and follow those scary, miraculous nudges?
That day on Facebook, 1 year ago, I decided to show up for myself, BEFORE I knew whether or not I was actually crazy. I leaned into the doubt and the nerves and I signed on to my heart’s desires.
And, a million uplevels later, I’m still working with that same magical mentor, and I now can say with certainty that it really, truly was meant just for me.
So tell me, what have you been ignoring your soul on lately? What dream that’s “too big” or investment that’s “too expensive” does your heart know is meant for you?
As scary and insane as that first step feels, I promise that those whispers only lead you to your truest, highest self.
So go for it. Before you’re sure.
And if that thing your soul has been asking for is some conversations with me, I expect to hear from you today 😉
Because life truly is that magical.

Contessa chats with Psychic Guide and Metaphysical Educator, Therese Heart. Therese talks about why and how she uses oracle cards as a daily tool in her life. She also gives a reading for Contessa that was right on time. “It is safe to work with cards. They are tools in which we can invite the Divine — the Angels, Ancestors, and Spiritual Guides — in every decision we do so that we can build a mindful and meaningful existence that brings out the best in us and heals the worst in us. Cards are tools we can use to bring to light what is hidden in our unconscious and subconscious and understand how these construct our world and our reality.” #GetYouSomeHealing
