Character art by the always talented and extremely kind @art_ofthe_endangered and @dagmaracielecka for my first novel, “December’s Child”. I’ve always been a huge proponent for commissioning art for one’s written works, it gives so much dimension to have that creativity lent to a piece!
Almost done with the basics... For anyone wondering, I am restarting #mybloodyvalentine 😥
I really loved what I have before, but it was missing something vital.
After coming back to it with fresh eyes, I discovered the missing piece!! The story now feels ten times stronger!! I'll finish this post-it outline today and hopefully start tweaking and fine tuning the middle of the story tonight.
I'm currently taking @alessandratorre4 courses onlline. The "what if" exercise is actually what helped me get past my blockage and find the aforementioned missing piece.
I can't wait to dive back into this world and work toward an ending that I know the characters AND the readers deserve!! #instaauthors#writersofinstagram#writersfollowwriters#writerssupportingwriters#alessandratorreink
Jenny Craig called me and wanted to do a collabo ???
She said @ikes_tug_and_supply is moving weight and she wants in!???
Had to intercept my pallet do to starting a new job on Monday and, so I found my self in the city of Commerce loading this bitch into my Toyota sienna, low riding all the way back up the 5 freeway north !! Stay tuned and stay aggressive!!

I love this! I will continue meme hilarity later, but I just finished my novel! 343 pages and 84,000+ words. It's my 4th, but it's the 3rd in this series. Now that it's done, I get a quick breather before starting the next. None of them are published yet, as I've written them all in the last year, but I'm shopping agents and publishers now. I'm just so happy to see another story to the conclusion it wanted, because I don't always have a say. 😉 Excuse me while I happy dance...
Nah. The truth is that we often spend more time in our heads coming up with allllll the ways that things could go wrong.
"What if people don't like my book?"
"How can I stand apart from other books like mine?"
"My feelings will be hurt if an editor tells me to make tweaks"
My love, think of ALLL the things that can go right instead!
"This book will touch those that it's meant for"
"Let me stay in my lane. The people assigned to me will CHOOSE my book, I don't have to force myself to be different"
"I'll find a good editor & their tweaks will only be to make my book better!"
Practice positivity surrounding your project. People care & need to read what you have to say! 💪🏽
Rest Does the Brain & Body Good For Your Business Success ********* Business owners should give time in their days to rest. Rest will help kickstart tomorrow’s success.
When did you last power off the TV, cell phone, social media and the outside world? Do these actions equate to rest? Rest. A word with layered meanings such as to be quiet, refreshment, freedom from labor, peace of mind just to name a few.
Research explains many nine to fivers and entrepreneurs are working on burnout. They rarely take the time to rejuvenate or re-energize their bodies and brains.
The reality is the brain shoots out information faster than you can keep up with at times. It’s constantly thinking; thinking of the past, present, and future all at once.
You’re remembering what happened this morning or late last night; pondering about what’s going on at this very moment; and thinking of what needs to get done before the end of the day. And, don’t forget the in-between stuff.
Days Without Proper Rest for Success
I remember working 30 to 40 hours Monday – Friday. Saturday’s were my days to catch up on errands I couldn’t get to during the week.
Some Saturday’s I worked at school tutoring in reading and writing. So, many weeks included six full work days, which left me with Sunday’s to rest and do other things.
Let’s not forget about grading assignments and essays, providing feedback, preparing lesson plans for the week, calling parents and completing a call log, etc. My body and mind were both fatigued, and I became cranky. Be compassionate toward yourself by honoring all that you’ve been through.
We’ve all got a story, things we’ve been through in our past. No one goes through life without facing obstacles. *
Honor your story love. Don’t shrink down and hide in shame or fear. Own all of you, own the dark and the light. *
Everything you have gone through you have survived and transcended to the strong, and beautiful soul reading this right now! *
I never thought I could get to a place within myself of total acceptance, love and grace, but it’s happened and it’s the most delicious feeling ever babes 😊
Everyday I must work at it though, everyday I must choose love, otherwise fear sets in and I don’t feel total acceptance, love and grace for myself. Instead I feel anxiety, judgement and shame for mistakes I’ve made along the way. *
We’re not meant to feel that way friends! We’re meant to feel our truth every single day and that is love ❤️
So today please make the choice to show yourself some love, shower yourself with loving thoughts, do something special for you. That’s not selfish that’s showing up for yourself in the most delicious way! When you do this you will automatically show up for those around you as the best version of yourself possible.
Sounds pretty freaking awesome to me 😎
I want to be the best version of myself possible, not only for me, but also for the all the special peeps that are in my life, and I know you want that too 😘
So I hope you have a wonderful weekend gorgeous friends and I hope all the Father’s that are reading this have an epic and fantastic Father’s Day tomorrow 😘
