If the stars were made to worship so will I ✨
If the mountains bow in reverence so will I ⛰
If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I 🌊
For if everything exists to lift You high so will I
If the wind goes where You send it so will I 🌬
If the rocks cry out in silence so will I
If the sum of all our praises still falls shy
Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times 🎶
God of salvation
You chased down my ❤️
Through all of my failure and pride
On a hill You created 🗻
The light of the world 🌏
Abandoned in darkness to die 🌘
And as You speak 🌬
A hundred billion failures disappear 🌫
Where You lost Your life so I could find it here
If You left the grave behind You so will I ✝️
I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done
Every part designed in a work of art called love 💕
If You gladly chose surrender so will I 🤲🏼
I can see Your heart 💛
Eight billion different ways
Every precious one
A child You died to save 👶🏻
If You gave Your life to love them so will I 💫
Like You would again a hundred billion times
But what measure could amount to Your desire
You’re the One who never leaves the one behind.
Go On Ahead:
This week our 12 year old son with Down syndrome said he wanted me to join him on a walk through our neighborhood. We both like the outdoors, so a walk wasn't out of the ordinary.
While he wasn't aware, I knew it being July in Dallas that it would be full bore heat. So, I grabbed a bottle of water, and said "let's go."
I told him to lead the way, and allowed him to strut ahead. While he enjoyed his sense of independence, I followed as he chose lefts or rights based only on how he felt at that moment. He had no concern on how each decision held a consequence of taking us further from home.
After about 20 minutes, we were a long stretch from home, and the small bottle of water was almost empty. Of course, while we both were soaking in sweat, I didn't drink any, so he'd have more.
As he wiped at the lines of moisture rivering across his face, he stopped in a patch of shade and turned back to me, "Where, dad?"
I thought about how we do the same thing to God. We jump into the heat of a situation without His provisions, and make decisions based on emotion instead of prayer and God's guidance. And once we've found ourselves out of bounds, only then do we turn back to our Father to ask for direction.
Of course, once he asked, I showed him a cross street that had us back home in minutes with a sip or two of water to spare. The next day, he handed me 2 bottles of water, and said, "Walk."
"Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
~ Isaiah 30:21

Jesus is worthy of it all. He deserves your devotion and attention. Worship is about obedience. It’s about surrender. It’s about trusting God in every season. Worship is a lifestyle. He deserves your worship. Worship is about connection. Worship is about relationship. Worship is about the little things, like loving well, being faithful, remaining humble and teachable. Keeping your heart soft and open to His correction and direction. Worship is an attitude and reflection of our heart. Worship has nothing to do with me but everything to do with Jesus. It’s about being fascinated by Jesus. When you see Him you can’t help but worship. It’s like looking at a beautiful sun set your response is awe and wonder. Same with worship. Extravagant worship is a byproduct of an extravagant revelation of the worth of Jesus. #worship#worshipisalifestyle#worshipflow#worshipiswhatido
