I would highly recommend vegans and non vegans come to Portugal and try the vegan Franchesinha.
What an amazing dish! It is inspired by the croquet monsieur, but taken to another level.
We had ours in a restaurant called Casanova. Our server Bruno was amazing, he knew exactly what we were looking for (Franchesinha) and then he knew exactly what would make it better (fries and salad). Now, vegan Franchesinhas are so popular in Portugal that even our tour guide was recommending them to the group!

I see my sister’s soul in the way she cooks, a reflection of the things I admire most about her.
She selects ingredients as she can, with what’s available and in season, never afraid to change plans or veer away from a recipe. She allows herself to receive what is good in the moment. And then she makes it into something that is unique and beautiful and quintessentially her. She tastes as she goes. She adds as she must from a whirl of knowledge and intuition. She facilitates everyone’s dietary restrictions, always generous and conscious of what others need. She puts her soul into her food, and then she shares it without fear. Because she knows it’s good, because she created it with love and confidence. I long to create that way.

It is Friday and my mum's birthday 🎉 so we decided to rent a boat for a day and cruise around the island 🌊 driving around you get to see so many beautiful places but now we are all pretty exhausted and the only thing we will do now is go to our favourite restaurant and have a nice dinner 💕 how did you spend your day? And have you ever rented a boat? And since it is so nice and sunny this smoothie is the perfect refreshment 🙈 especially since it contains coconut, mango and berries 😍 am I right? there’s just something about the combo of spinach and tomatoes 🍅 that i really love. i mean reeeeally love! what better way to end the week than with some 🍕 VEGAN CHEESY SPINACH TOMATO THIN CRUST PIZZA 🍕??? who wants a slice??? and can you believe it has been over several months since i’ve shared a new pizza with you? pizza is hands-down a family favourite meal! you know how at times i tend to over exaggerate about how delicious something is.. well this is not one of those times! i was craving pizza today and decided to pull out my pizza pan. now, pizza is a kind of food that you can be very creative when making. with all the topping possibilities how can you not?// switching to eating a healthy and balanced diet doesn’t mean you have to give up the ‘good’ stuff 🙅🏼♀️ you can totally have your vegan pizza crust and eat it too! i totally get that sometimes switching to healthier alternatives from our favourite meals is hard. but the best part about them is that you still get to enjoy and indulge in your favourite meals! 👍🏻// i think i’m part italian. my pale skin, asian eyes, and brown coloured eyes do not appear in any way shape or form italian, but my taste buds – they think they are italian. they’re comforted by italian food and crave italian on a daily basis. but what if i combined a classic italian style dish with pizza? that may please everyone in my house. you often hear of florentine dishes in context with italian foods. what does florentine mean? it refers to a dish that is prepared in the style of the italian region of florence. but another definition of florentine means to be prepared with spinach 🌱 and that is what i think of when i think of florentine style dishes. so a florentine pizza, simply would mean a pizza with spinach. it is a bite of florentine meets singapore. it is just legit. it pleased this wanna be italian but typical singaporean girl 😉

GOOD MORNING 🙋♀️ and Happy Friday! Last day of school for my boys - a day of mixed emotions including arghhhhhh waaaaaaa eeeeeeek 😱😬😳🤪 (me) and YEAH! 🕺💃🎉(them) 😆 - 6 weeks of uninterrupted child care 😱 1 teenager, 1 preteen and 1 who is my baby what ever age he is 👼 Fun times ahead 😬🤪🙈 Fellow Mothers - you hear me?! EDIT: I've just learned from Sofia @health_and_chocolate and Isa @deliciaskitchen that they have 10 weeks in Sweden and almost 12 in Spain!! 😱 I withdraw my complaining 😂 .
Anywayyyyssss I just wanted to say I've been starting my day for the last 2 weeks by adding a heaped tsp of #chaga mushroom to my #matcha green tea and it really does make me feel rather 👌💃 I've had a bag lurking in the cupboard. I was adding it to soups in the colder weather which worked ok. Then I tried making a cup with just hot water and it tasted a bit like watery mud and a bit gritty so it wasn't something I reached for with glee any time of any day. But a light bulb moment struck 💡 when I thought why not add it to your morning matcha 🤔 so I did and something happens with the combination to make it nice and smooth and something I've actually looked forward to each morning 😋 Read about the benefits of chaga yourself and if you need a way to ingest it - this could be it! Follow it up with a tbsp of chia seeds in your soaked oats, apricots, bloobs, vanilla soy yoghurt, pistachios and your morning could be off to a winner 🏆 .
I'm off to lay in a dark room for 6 hours to mentally prepare for what is ahead of me......🧘♀️😝🙋♀️ .

Naturally coloured with blue butterfly pea tea 🦋, a superfood drank by indigenous South-east Asians for centuries, with alleged medicinal properties, but I just bought it for the colour😄

These doughnuts are long gone, but still live on in my heart. Two local vegan businesses teamed up to make one amazing doughnut. We have a delicious vegan doughnut made by @plantjoyyqg with @thevegangardiner ‘s incredible maple cream cheese in the centre. I’m not one for crazy sweet foods, but this was just the right kind of sweetness that I love.
