My official first day of LIIFT 4 was met with some challenges. I’m not home so everything I needed wasn’t all together. My family was sleeping and I didn’t want to wake them. The workout was missing on my Apple Watch. I couldn’t find the workouts to modify with the band. I was hungry. I needed to meet my brother soon. 
Any of these could have easily turned into an excuse but I looked down at my shirt...
Positive Mind Positive Life
... and kept on. Things happen. Life Happens. All the excuses that came my way were not life altering. They won’t matter tomorrow. They won’t matter in an hour. 
When things pop up. Don’t let that stop you. Think about the long road and keep going. .

🔥When it comes to lasting weight loss, patience is the ultimate virtue. This is a hard truth for many people to swallow, but it's essential to understand.

🔥The ideal rate of weight loss on a weekly basis is roughly one percent of your body weight. For a 140-pound woman, this comes out to a loss of about 1.5 pounds per week. This may not sound like much, but if you lose weight too quickly, you run the risk of losing lean body mass—and that takes a lot of time and effort to regain.[2,3] In addition, aggressive weight loss is also associated with decreased athletic performance, meaning your workouts will become less effective.[4-7]

🔥Researchers from Norway published a landmark study in 2011 which demonstrated the importance of losing weight slowly.[8] They split male and female athletes into two groups: One which lost weight at a fast rate, and the other at a slow rate. At the end of the study, both groups lost the same amount of body weight, about 9 pounds. However, it took the slower weight-loss group eight weeks to drop the weight, compared to five weeks for the faster weight-loss group.

🔥But here's the real difference: The participants who lost weight at a slower rate lost significantly more fat mass than the people in the faster-weight-loss group. Additionally, the slower-weight-loss group gained significantly more muscle mass than the athletes in the faster-weight-loss group.

Hey man, you ready to have those sleeves splitting for summer? Here's how you do it.

Drop arm day. Start training those guns 2-3 times a week. A good way to do this? Push/ pull split. Train biceps on pull day and triceps on push day. Boom. Done.

Stop focusing kickbacks and concentration curls. Do some big movements. Chin ups, dips, and close grip bench press are all kick ass arm builders.

Gotta get your pump? Nah brah. Get strong af in the above movements. Dem biceps gonna be hella juicy when you're doing chins with a 45 hanging from your waist.

Train with intensity and purpose. Don't just go through the motions getting a pump. Have your goal in mind and get after it.

You're not growing in the gym, you're giving the muscles a reason to grow. Fuel them properly outside of the gym so they can.
