Calves 5-6 times a week! Im a big believer that the calf muscle is used to high endurance because we use them everyday. Therefore, a more intense/heavy method of calf training is needed for it to grow.

➡️I call this type of training ‘Ladders’ - After each set, take a plate(in my case, it’s a 45lbs) off and continue until you are at the last plate. With the last plate still there, put 1 plate back on after each set until you are back at the weight you started with. Now, go one last time down the ladder. Have a nice calf sore-ing weekend! 💪🏼

Therefore, a more intense/heavy method of calf training is needed for it to grow. . . ➡️I call this type of training ‘Ladders’ - After each set, take a plate(in my case, it’s a 45lbs) off and continue until you are at the last plate. With the last plate still there, put 1 plate back on after each set until you are back at the weight you started with. Now, go one last time down the ladder. - I am done with school for the year 🙌🏼
- I have been with a bad shoulder for almost a month, so taking upper body a little slow (lots of lower body action tho) 🍑
- I have been focusing on metabolic workouts (little rest in between sets + super sets)
- I attempted to take a picture where I am smiling {ish}/ people say I have a mean face at the gym all the time. 😅
- #ponnytail since my hair seems to be slowly growing (almost fully brunette / @rim_diggs make me blond again?🙏🏻)

We’ve all done it - in preparation of the upcoming dinner at any given Holiday party, you choose to “save yourself” to eat as much as possible. This leads to gross overconsumption of food. ⠀

Eat a normal breakfast - you’ll still be hungry for your dinner and less likely to overindulge on the desserts!

Are you letting your body recover properly? Here's four tell tale signs that you're not:
- Your progress has stopped. It's normal for progress to slow, but if you find yourself completely plateauing, it's time to not only change up your training but look at what you're doing to recover alongside it.
- You always feel sore. Yes, feeling sore after a tough or new workout is normal, but listen to your body. If this is happening all the time, or for prolonged periods of time, you seriously need to assess what you're doing to recover after each session.
- You feel fatigued. A workout should energise you and if you find that time and time again that's not the case, a lack of proper recovery is likely a contributing factor.

Well, that’s the first and LAST time I’m doing that 😳 After one week, I’ve put on slightly more than a 1lb and my body fat increased. DEFINITELY not the results I was looking for 😐 It strengthened my idea of the importance of cardio in one’s active lifestyle, especially towards my goals. Cardio may have a bad rep but I’ve learned more than ever of how necessary it is 👊🏽 … at least to me

Took some time for me today away from our sick household, where did I head? Whole Foods and the gym duh 🙄 lol. Today my loves I’m sharing with you one of my favorite ways I personally like to warm up before a back/shoulders training session. I perform bar dislocates before making my way over to the smith machine to warm up a little more allowing me to raise my total body temperature and muscle temperature making sure my body is ready for my vigorous training session. I like doing this because not only is it great in stretching my shoulders, and back, it also allows me to work on my grip strength and hey it’s fun and working out should be challenging but also enjoyable at the end of the day!
