I have lately received a few enquiries from people who aren't happy with their current trainer. So please read on if you've thought about enquiring
A trainer is someone that puts you through a workout, trains you, takes your money and see's you the following week. A coach 'coaches' you to make better lifestyle choices, educates you, helps with issues outside of the gym, mindset and is available to speak to outside of your one hour slot. This is how I coach:
Nutrition - damage is done in 'how much' you eat, not 'what' you eat. So with me, you can eat whatever you want (yes, really) as long as your hitting the daily goals I've set and in the correct amounts. Fill your boots. I prefer clients to eat as much as possible whilst still losing bodyfat. No crazy low kcals or silly restrictions here
Training - I will perfect your technique and teach you how to be efficient in your reps. You will do as little work as possible whilst still getting the desired stimulus. Leaving more room for progression. Once you mastered the basics, only then we can move onto the fancy stuff everyone wants to do
Cardio & Supplements - are only added in if absolutely nessesary. Which is on the rare occasion
Lifestyle - you gotta 'have a life a life' outside of the gym. I don't expect anyone to go T-total or take their weighing scales to a birthday party. Although I do at least expect an invite if your having one. You've got to fit your training and nutrition around your lifestyle, social events & the things you enjoy doing, not the other way around
Bullsh*t excuses - I don't accept them. If your being lazy, I'll tell you. If you need to man the f**k up and get on with it, I'll tell you. If you don't want to do something because it hurts, I'll make you do more of it. But at the same time, I understand shit happens and training isn't the number 1 priority in everyone's lives and not everyone wants to get down to 5% bodyfat. Sometimes i'll push you as far as I can, others I'll back off and let you do you for a bit

L E E A N N E 🌼 Well if it wasn't enough pressure creating a wedding cake for the Lakes and Cumbria wedding magazine shoot yesterday, it certainly was making this cake for a fellow baker! LeeAnne from @honeybee.cupcakery asked me to make her a cake to celebrate the newest edition to their family who is due very soon. She wanted a cake that was for her and gave me absolute free reign including the flavour. I knew I wanted to do something neutral in colour so it was all about her rather than baby (after all she's the one that's done the hard work!) So I went for a concrete look with a deckled edge which I have been dying to do for ages. Finished with copper and beautiful blooms!
Flavour: I went for my most popular...white chocolate and raspberry!

F L A M I N G O 👑 What a lovely way to finish off my trio of animals! I love making flamingos but fancied doing something a bit different with this one using a softer pink than the usual bright pink. And that touch of gold is just so pretty!

IFS West our Workington Store will be hosting a Christmas Fayre/Table Top Sale on Saturday 8th December! This will be held at the Warehouse in Workington - Unit 6 & 7 Enterprise Court, Derwent Howe Industrial Estate, Workington CA14 3YP from 10am-4pm. If you would like to have your own space its only £5 a table! (prices for businesses may vary) So If you have any items around your home why not sell here!

One the the biggest reasons most people don't see results when they're in the gym, is because they simply fcuk about too much
People think because they're in the gym for 60mins they've done a 'hours' work, when in reality they've done about 20 mins. Texting, having a chat with their mates, scrolling through insta, watching the girls, or boys, on the phone and generally wasting time inbetween sets & exercises
Think of it like this - when you go in to get a chest pump on a Monday, if your f***ing about during your workout, the efficiency from that workout will be terrible, the amount of actual 'work' you do will be minimal. Plus because your on a bro split you'll also not be training that muscle again for another 7 days. How the hell do you expect to grow, change or lose bodyfat when your taking that lazy ass approach? 🤷♂️
I'm all about enjoying your training and catching up with your pals, but you go to the gym to train, save the texting & catch-ups for home or the pub. Best advice I can give is use a timer for your rest periods, it will keep you consistent and efficient

J A I M E E 🦄 I have been waiting to do a floral unicorn for ages and finally the opportunity arose when Alan ordered this cake for his daughters 5th birthday and gave me free reig. All I had to do was make sure it was made up of pinks and purples. I received the most beautiful email from him yesterday saying it made Jaimee's day and that is why I absolutely love my job. I don't always hear feedback from my customers but it means so much to me when I do!
