THIS exact reason is why I started my online business. I wanted to be the mum who did the school runs, attended the plays and assemblies.
Wanted to be around when they were off sick and have a nice evening dinner cooked for my little family.
I’ve really missed the buzz of Work over summer, with children being home daily I’ve not got a lot done.
They’re good kids though, they know a need to get some work done and will leave me to it for a bit.
Going to figure out a few mornings/afternoons of work next week.
They understand if I don’t work, the bills don’t get paid. They’re horrified how much things cost 😂 They also know the reasons we go on holidays, have nice meals out and bought a puppy last week, is because I work. They’re happy to let me crack on a bit, it benefits us all.
I’m a very lucky mama. I feel September I’m going to blow it up!!
Watch This Space.
For all you ambitious and slightly impatient Mumma’s 👆
Our time will be. Enjoy the journey! It only makes it all that much sweeter 🍫

To the mother who feels like she’s lost herself.............
It might take a while to find YOU again and when you do she might not be the woman you once knew but it’s ok. You’ll be ok.
One day you’ll look in the mirror and see yourself staring back even if you’ve gained two stone and half a head of grey hair since the last time you *really* saw yourself. .
Appearance doesn’t matter. Those kids love you just the way you are. Learn to see yourself the way they do.
This is not my beautiful house.⠀
I work from home like an increasing number of people. I do 90% of my work from my dining room table because we don't have the physical space for me to have my own little office. ⠀
I like to daydream about the sort of home-working environment I'd like to have and this image pretty much captures it. Give or take a few details. ⠀
At the moment, I have to pack everything away when work is over or face the ever-present danger of having sticky fingers all over my laptop and scribbles all over my notes.⠀
Still, I am eternally grateful that I am able to work from home. I am more productive than I have ever been. Open-plan offices with their fluorescent lighting did not bring out the best in me. And, I am blissfully happy in my solitude.⠀
How do you work from home? Any tips? Fancy a lunchtime Skype so we can pretend we are down the pub/in Pret?⠀
So I haven’t lost any inches this past week
But I am still happy 😉
For far too long my focus has been on the outside...... but somewhere along the way that focus has changed
I can’t pin point that moment but I have realised that I can be happy- because I can 😊
If I hadn’t decided to take a chance on myself- or to make a commitment to myself and DO IT .
I know I would still be stuck on the same ‘hamster wheel’ of ‘starting over’
When I decided to stop starting over..... and to actually make an effort for me
That was the start.......... ✨

Feeling a tonne of guilt and stress today. Yesterday I stayed home with my baby who was unwell but getting better. Went back to work today...checked my phone at play time and there was the dreaded missed call from childcare. Straight away my heart sank...my baby needed me and I had yesterday off so if I leave now my kids at work are missing out. It is a no brainer that your own sick child comes first but I really had the guilts and felt stressed about leaving school and letting “my other kids” down. I managed to leave work and get to my boy, he looked miserable, probably worse than he looked yesterday. Fuck! I felt guilty all over again. He seemed fine this morning?! Then I became “one of those mums” that appears to send their childcare to get on with their own life/work rather than putting their child first (which is mostly bullshit, I don’t know many mums that would want their child at childcare if they were genuinely ill). Anywho, when I got home after taking him to the doctors, I put him to bed, opened Facebook and saw this quote. It just sang to me. When you have children and you work you have to make time for hobbies. To be honest by the time my kids get to bed I generally open my laptop up and start working again because #teacherlife OR I’m too stuffed that I just sit scrolling until I muster the energy to shower and jump into bed. What a life! Are you jealous yet? HAHA! Give me some tips? Tell me it gets better as they get older? #mumlife#dailyjuggle#sickbabies#mumguilt#teacherguilt#debbiedowner#dontworrybehappy#workingmum#workingmumlife#workingmumguilt
#mesbebes#mesamours#workingmumlife#entrepreneur#mumboss
Yesterday morning, Mini Jones woke us up before 5am with a stinking cold, poor thing.
Then I got mastitis.
The house we are renting has rising damp. The guys from the company assigned to fix it were due to come at 7am...they turned up at midday. They were supposed to cover all the furniture and seal off the rooms they were treating.
They did not.
So the whole house is covered in a thick layer of plaster dust... Thankfully, we are very lucky indeed and have some wonderful friends who have let us stay in their apartment. Not only that, but it has this ☝️stunning view. 😍#silverlinings
Hope you all had a better start to your week!! x

So the bills don’t seem to stop coming 🙈 who else can relate?
All I can say is thank goodness for my side gig payday 🤗 (today!!) When I first decided to try out this biz I didn't have high expectations about how much I would earn, anything was a bonus to help my family and I just wanted awesome products at the cheapest price lol
Well now I know that this business can do way more than that... The bills WILL keep coming but thankfully with the extra paycheck they don’t seem to pile up like they use to and hubby and I are a lot less stressed about them. 🙌🏻❤️ Could you do with a bit of extra money in your pocket each month?
We have an awesome business startup deal available at the moment with CASHBACK offers and FREE products so comment below if you’d like “more info” or message me personally 😘
Helping Daddy drive his van! Max was delighted to see his dad in the middle of the day today for a quick cuddle and a shotty of driving. I’m currently on day 4 of 5 days working (the most I’ve done in a row since returning to work) and Max has decided that every night is party night...so tired doesn’t come close. One more day to go... thank god for this lovely mans help 😍 xxx #onetiredmama#family#workingmumlife
Highlight of my day - scoring one of the very highly sought after spots in amazing @luckydipclub’s fabulous @indie_roller membership group!! Not only does Leona spread colour and joy everywhere she goes, she is also one of the savviest business women I know! Thrilled to be in her space 😊
There is no guilt like parent guilt. You work all day. Come home with a happy face but a tired body and sore head. You clear up a millions toys, get hurled abuse and constantly; it’s now 15 hours since you’ve been up. You have to pack five bags, put two loads of washing on, wait up to hang them out otherwise they’ll go skank in the machine - answer all the emails you didn’t get to for tomorrow’s load will be too much to get through in the time you have! Oh yes clean the dog poo off the bike, tried three methods and nothing is working, because it has to go in the car, make a picnic, your lunch as well, fill up the snack boxes, write the cards you need, make a list of the things you mustn’t forget. Bugger... flowers you have to buy, oh now wait a minute shit you haven’t got a present you need one. Where the F is the FING scooter course...bottom of the garden it’s raining. Helmets sh*****t where the heck are they???? The DOOOOG who the bloody hell is having him tomorrow yep phew Granny JJ (thank you god!) what time is it...ah time enough to put house back together for the next day in amongst playing Mummies & Daddies a trillion times and having cuddles and books time whilst rumbling in the jungle with the boy! Note to self and always AS A PARENT I AM NOT MANAGING AN INCONVENIENCE I AM RAISING A HUMAN BEING....OUR HUMAN BEING 💕❤️❤️ #parentguilt#parenting#workingmumlife#mumpreneur#loveislove ❤
A little Monday motivation....
Just get s*^+ done ✅
Week 5 of this program and the increase in strength I am seeing is surprising even me!
Next Fit Club kicks off in September, and places are filling up fast, so if you want to get involved, it’s time to take action, and Get S#!+ Done!!!!!!!
✨It is so easy to loose yourself✨
I have to say I did struggle this weekend- the boys were at the motorbikes and I was home 🏠 alone
I had nothing to do and no one to do it with 🤷♀️
Initially all I could think was how pathetic and sad my life is 🤦♀️
It’s easy to loose yourself- who are you when your not being a mum or a wife (or whatever role consumes your life)?
Then I thought about how rich ✨ and fulfilled ✨my life is BECAUSE of these three
I LOVE these three with all my heart ❤️ and I know that I am a better person because of them
They make me WANT to get up and workout 💪and look after myself- so that I can be the best mammy and the best wife (or at least TRY to be the best)
And my team make it so much fun when I DO get up and workout 💪 and look after myself 😉
Just think of the possibilities...... me and you on the same team- encouraging each other to be our best 😲
If your intrigued- just ask me 😉
Having a child who is literally both my husband and my twin is incredible shes taken all our good perks. Shes crazy like momma 😇💞 loves motorcycles and music like daddy💞 shes like the overall perfect combination of us both and i love it❣
We’ve done it! Celebrating today hitting the 6 week milestone with my new baby. 🎉
With my first baby I remember people telling me that it got easier at this 6 week milestone. Those first 6 weeks were a baptism of fire and were probably the hardest 6 weeks of my life.
So this time round with baby number 2 I’ve got to be honest I was dreading these weeks! So it feels like a huge achievement to hit this milestone. To not only hit it but to feel like I’ve thrived during this time rather than just survive.
I think a big part of this has been the conscious effort I’ve put into my postpartum recovery plan. Using the wisdom of the #fourthtrimester - especially the work of @magamamas in her amazing book. If you’d like to learn more click the link in my bio to read my fourth trimester plan on my blog. .
I’m also convinced that having my placenta encapsulated with the brilliant @placentaplus has been incredible for my physical and emotional wellbeing. I’ve not had one single meltdown which is incredible as in my normal everyday life without a new baby I would have had at least one in this time frame!! .. I also wanted to thank @katequilton for her documentary on #breastfeeding as there have been times over the last 6 weeks I’ve found the relentless breastfeeding really hard. I reached a point where I doubted if I could continue. But this documentary inspired me to not only continue but to do it with more confidence! ..
I’m sure there are going to be many highs and lows as the weeks and months continue with my beautiful baby girl. But in the meantime I’m celebrating this milestone! .
Having spent the weekend away on a girlie camping trip.... (although battling a horrid cough) I feel rejuvenated and relaxed. We had awesome adventures walking through fields in the pitch black, finding a beautiful country pub with the most A- mazing food, manoeuvring obstructions on our crazy route back to the tent, drinking delicious wine by the warm camp fire - we made ourselves. All topped off with a morning in Brighton wandering through the lanes at our leisure. These simple pleasures can sometimes be forgotten when you have children... as their needs always come before yours. But for one weekend only, we took back the reins and we loved it! ❤️ #happymonday
MONDAY!! Let's be having ya!! Start the week off as best as you can within your means, whether that's making goals for the day or next few days or getting those priorities ticked off your to do list. Any little bit to make things easier! I set myself a goal for the month to do yoga everyday. While I haven't been totally diligent I've done it pretty much every day even if it's five minutes! Feeling the benefits of it though! 🧘
38 weeks and 2 days today no baby yet think he/she is too comfy inside my belly 🤰 but hospital bag is packed and I shall remain positive that he/she will come soon! 💜
“What you’re thinking, dreaming and doing you get back tenfold.”
I’m doing some serious AF Mindset work around money right now! #MummasGotSomeWorkToDo
I have known for years and years that my attitude and beliefs about $ have been keeping me stuck, stagnant and stifled!
BUT no longer. I am befriending money. Learning to stand comfortably in my power to admit I want to earn a tonne of it #IHave5Kids and to get totally focused and deliberate around manifesting the hell out of my life to ensure that hubby and provide can create the kickass life we want for our family!
So, it’s only fitting that tonight I welcome the beautiful, gorgeous, powerful Lucky Bitch of Manifesting @denisedt to #VillageForMumsMonday
This woman has seriously created the most amazing business and life all from adjusting her beliefs, shifting her blocks and manifesting like a Mo-Fo! #PowerfulStuff
I bought her Get Rich, Lucky Bitch book on @Audible and have invested in her Money Bootcamp also. Her book is amazing and her Bootcamp is next level awesome!
I’m clearing some old garbage and already the energy is shifting! This is going to be a HUGE 12 months for me and my business! I’m just getting warmed up.
My message to you all ... Surround yourself with people that have paved the way and are reaching down to pull you up! Be inspired! Be strong in your own power to create whatever you want and STOP settling for anything less.
So, welcome @denisedt. I am so incredibly happy I stumbled across you!
What’s your relationship with money like? Do you believe in your ability to manifest your dream life? 🙌
And just like that it’s Monday! Has anyone ever had their child be randomly sick at night after having a nasty bug the week before? As in fine for two nights, then sick, then fine, then sick?! It’s so weird! Off to the doctors today...
"The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." - Stephen Covey
If you've been following my posts you'll know I've talked about scheduling a lot, 'what doesn't get scheduled won't get done'. By keeping a good schedule you can go back and review, find out where time can be re-allocated to allow you to work on those priorities to propel you forward.
Other factors also come into play like ensuring meeting time is effective, using online collaboration tools (Google Drive) and project management (Trello) to reduce the amount of unnecessary communication, managing your emails and inbox effectively (focused inbox). Stephen R. Covey is the author of “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People." His book has sold more than 15 million copies around the world since it was published in 1989.
There's one more of Stephen's quotes I'd like to share with you to help motivate you this week... “There are three constants in life… change, choice and principles.” These can give you the power to achieve your dreams.
You can CHANGE your life if you align your CHOICES with the timeless PRINCIPLES that produce success.
Keep this in mind when life serves you lemons or while you're pouring a G&T
Happy Monday, have an amazing week ahead!
