Isn’t this a pretty pitcher? It would be, but it’s a glass (and it’s still pretty) or a cup, if you prefer the term. Aren’t these baseball terms. It’s amazing what you can do with words, huh, “Sayree” @sarahmgellar ❔❕❓💍 Surely, that’s “wifey”. Ha. #Wordsmiths . #Wordplay . #😜
How often do you find yourself second guessing that soft voice inside you? The one that tells you to go this way, not that way. Or to eat _________ instead of _______ because it knows you will feel so much better if you do? Or the big one for me, to write _____________, only then to get all caught up in how it will sound to others so I go and change it!? .
If your anything like me, you find yourself squashing those whispers like a bug waaaay more than actually listening to them. .
So I have a job for you, just for today, listen to them. And trust the voice fully, just go with whatever she says. And at the end of the day grab your journal and reflect on how much of a difference it made!
I can't dance around the subject
I need a rec'
I need a fat check just to get me out the projects
I need my shoes laced so I can finish this race
And I need a real friend that can put me in my place, yeah
Say it to my face, let me know it's good
Come on and hit me where it hurts, 'cuz I know they could
And I got so much to lose, but my feelings ain't a factor
Changing every second when I hit the next chapter
Imma tell you what I'm really after
Put myself first, that's the number one answer
I've gathered the obvious, prioritized my audience
Spit the realist bars, every time, feelin' glorious
Need to get out of my thoughts and be a boss
Need to sacrifice what I love for what I want
?Need a penny for my growth, yeah, risk it all
I was born with this shit, come on and get involved..-Gavlyn @isgavlyn

There is a wear and tear
in moving, a displacement
of familiarity. A misplacement
of all the little things that
make home of comfort
We can know one another
from any distance and yet,
we cannot know anyone
at any distance. The
difference is in how
we measure and how
we traverse the landscape
between two points, where
words dissolve into notions
we follow together, or apart.
Such hasty decisions can
make meaning or render
The rumble and clash in
the rearrangement of things;
breathing or otherwise
make melodies of
kindness, roots of
hope; a welcome
respite to emigrants
of any kind; especially
from ourselves, our first
home will always be in the
marrow and arteries of
things we choose to
see, the angles and
lines we use to make
sense of anything.
We are all searching for
ways to explain the whys
to the little voice crying
Time and distance can be
folded like maps,
but the unsettling of being
left behind will change the view
of any place, a stretching
of many sorts, things shift
and nothing ever
stays the same.
The beautiful artwork is by the talented and lovely @j.oannerose if you've not found your way to her feed, you are missing out.
The world can not be viewed through a one-size-fits-all pair of glasses. There is always more than one point of view, more than one way of looking at things. Remember that. 💫

Good character, humility and kindness are much more attractive than physical beauty. Good character should be the standards we measure ourselves by.
This is a beautiful dua/prayer to read when looking into the mirror: اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِي فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِي "O Allah, just as You have made my external features beautiful, make my character beautiful as well".
