The making of a Wolf wall sculpture!
On this Wolf mold, I typically use 4 layers for the lay up/ slush cast. #1 & #2 to cover everything, #3 for fiberglass (or burlap) reinforment & setting in the hanging device, #4 to cover up the reinforcement and additonally secure the hanging device. The whole process takes about 20-30 min. Btw, if I was to do this mold over I would DEFINITELY do a brush on mold.
Come see the Wolf in person this wknd! At @abewitchingfete Sept 21 & 22 - Pleasanton, CA www.abewitchingfete.com/
SAFETY NOTE: Because I'm using Forton MG (modified gypsum stone) I don't need gloves & there are no fumes. The mask in the beginning is for dust. If you are using resin please use gloves & a respirator!
I had a number of comments from people who specifically liked my (rather plush) moose that was a part of the illustration I did for the upcoming Lee Maracle lecture Oct 3, so I decided to make him into a print all on his own! Available in 4"x6", 8"x12", 10"x15" or 12"x18" on archival satin finish paper. PM me for order inquiry. 😊
Just hanging out 🤙 this pic was taken 2 weeks ago - now all these pieces are hanging out with their new owners ✌️I am working hard to make some special new pieces for ya! Pics to come later this week 🤞
Some festival snaps 📸 (swipe for more) ...I had such a lovely weekend at Cronulla Spring Festival. Met so many lovely peoples 😀
I am still completely knackered from it all though....I dragged my bum out of bed at 4am this morning to try and catch up on some extremely overdue commission works...I have about 20 all clamouring for my attention 👀😱 ....but of course my little bubba decided to get up for a feed at the same time + pee through his suit + the poor little poppets eyes had been glue shut with Conjunctivitis, from the latest virus to smash through our house (F#$K)!! No wonder I am running behind! ...anyone else finding their best intentions getting hijacked by life? 🤪
