As I am reaching for my toes in a community yoga class I get frustrated. My flexibility resembles that of a 2x4. Always has, even when I was a kid. Then I touch my feet. The ones that effortlessly took me on a 14 mile hike just a couple of hours earlier. I see a miracle.
I get frustrated by the effort it takes me to stay in shape. Not even looking hot, but just staying strong and fitting in my clothes. Then I think how I haven’t had a cold in three years or the need to see a doctor since 2008. Pretty miraculous.
I am the last person on earth to philosophize (I am rolling my eyes at myself as we speak) but it sure seems like we all deserve a little break from self scrutiny since we are miracles- stardust floating in space💫✨
Now let's do the next step. After a day drying in the yard, then put the carrots in the oven 10-15 mins. Cool them completely, sprinkle powdered sugar and serve. I made out of 8 pounds of carrots, most of them goes to church kids, a small portion left for my own consumption. They taste better than snacks, the result is the perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea.
