Each day I am becoming more in tune with myself. With my emotions. With who I want to be. Each day I move closer towards having complete faith in the journey. No matter the path, no matter the struggles, I must have faith that life is taking me where I’m meant to be. Whether it’s God, the universe, or something else, I must have faith that I’m following the right path. Highs, lows, and everything in between. I have faith.
Yesterday I was Voxer-ing back and forth with a client and she said “the next time I’m freaking out, remind me to do a brain dump.” My suggestion to her - do it every day.
Literally set a timer for 5, 10, 15 or at the most 20 minutes and get it all out.
Get your shitty thoughts out. Get your good ideas out. Write fast. Draw. Scribble. Whatever it is that’s bouncing around your brain - get rid of it and get it onto the page.
I’ve never been great at keeping a journal. I prefer to keep a sketchbook (its the artist in me). And there’s something about going at that completely blank page. But no matter what kind of book you use, take that little bit of time for yourself, get rid of the overwhelm and brain dump. Daily.
What’s the difference between being present and showing up?⠀
Remember sitting in class and saying “here” when a teacher called your name during roll call. That’s being present⠀
Now, think back to the time when you “showed up” to class. You were raising your hand, participating, giving energy, etc. ⠀
That’s exactly what your followers need, your readers need, your customers/clients, they all need you to show up!⠀
What does that look like?⠀
That means going LIVE, sharing that blog post, marketing that product or service, actually engaging with your audience, etc. ⠀
Impact requires presence and if you want to grow your presence, you need to show up!

GIVE ME ALL THE CARBS AND HEALTHY FATS PLEASE!!! 😋🤣
Ya feel me? 🙋♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏿♀️
My biggest problem is deciding if I should eat cheese or avocado for my daily serving of healthy fat. Sometimes I have both. 🤫
I’m loving my meal plan situation! I’m currently eating from a higher calorie bracket due to the intensity of my workouts. I had to bump up last month, because I was getting hANGRY after all that resistance training!!! 😂
Fact about me: I LOVE FOOD!
Today is DAY 1 of my August 21-day Fitness, Nutrition, & Mindset Challenge. A new coach in my tribe of fit biz leaders is co-hosting the challenge as part of her coach training, and we’ve got 7 people in the group ready to ROCK their results! I can’t wait to share our progress with you this month.
In the meantime, here’s some food-spiration for all you meal preppers out there:
Breakfast: Chocolate superfoods shake w/cashew milk and cherries ❤️ 🥄💜
Snack 1: Tomatoes and boiled eggs 💚❤️
Lunch: Whole grain pasta, ground turkey, tomato sauce, parmesan cheese, and charred asparagus 💛❤️💜💙💚 🥄
Snack 2: Carrots and grapes 💚💜
Dinner: Open Meal ❤️💛💛💚🧡 🥄
If you’re curious what an“open meal” is, it’s one I haven’t planned in advance. I keep my evening meals and weekend meals “open,” so I can enjoy them with my family on a whim. I still eat the proper portions of each food group from my meal plan, though.
💙 healthy fats
🧡 seeds and dressings
🥄 oils and nut butters
If you’d like info on how I plan my meal prep menu, please drop your fave food emoji below. 👇
I can still be a feminist and not adhere to everything that the mainstream feminist movement proclaims. I can support and fight for woman’s equal pay, the right to say no and have the final and only say on what happens to my body; while still protecting the unborn. #iamafeminist#feminist#womensupportingeachother#womenofgod
I was sitting in my chair, with my feet in the sand, lost in thought. My kids were playing on their own, making sand castle creations just a few feet ahead. Thinking how happy I was to be on vacation, able to close my eyes, feel the sun on my skin and grateful the kids were not arguing.
I saw you at first off to the side. Your set up not too far away, with your two girls not too much younger than mine.
I barely heard you. “Lennox!!!!” You walked off in the opposite direction, and still not thinking too much of it, still deep in my own bliss.
I’m not sure how much time had passed before seeing you come back. Alone. Only this time you RAN.
You ran back to your girls, who were now playing with mine.
I then heard it, the panic setting in.
Still yelling her name, only this time with urgency and running haphazardly. This snapped me out of my blissful unawareness. I looked up at you and saw fear. The look only another mother knows to her core. The hair on my arms stand up just writing that.
The thoughts start flooding my brain as I process what is happening…… She can’t find her child.
She is alone.
She is scared.
We are surrounded by thousands of people, some close enough to touch. Why is no one doing anything?
What can I do?
The last thought brought me to my feet.
I remember reading an article shared on social media recently about a family losing their child in a theme park, or something along those lines. I remember the advice given was to start calling out the age and description of the child.
I saw the wild eyes, the look of primal instincts taking over this mother. The look I see more frequently then not when I’m supporting a mother through the Transition phase of labor.
I asked her what does Lennox look like?
It took her a minute to answer, she was not in control. “She is 3 years old, blonde hair, wearing an orange-pink swimsuit.” As I started scanning the beach, looking for this little girl, I saw a police officer driving on the sand. I pointed the mom to the cruiser and headed to the shore line. Praying someone would help if they saw a 3 year old alone in the water. *continued in comments*
At Gratitude Gang we are building a global empire of women doing amazing things!! • The work we do is not easy but it is simple!
• It is not easy because it will expose everything you are about: your deepest fears and greatest triumphs. This business is like a giant magnifying glass for your life. If you are able to get through the discomfort of having this magnifying glass expose your secrets and weaknesses you will be so successful and you will come out a different person, like I am doing as we speak.
• Every success you will have will be 100% yours and you will learn how to claim it, own it and be proud of it. You will stop doubting yourself and worry about others judgment, you will discover that there are no limits for growth and greatness. • You will be part of the industry that impacts for good and not greed, and rewards with abundance and not restriction and is immense.
• This work is simple because you share it with a bunch of women who have big hearts and huge dreams and are courageous and pumped for what's to come. • These women will be your mentors, your leaders, your girlfriends and will show you the way and support you reletlesny every damn day. You will be loved, cheered and inspired like you’ve never been before. 👩❤️👩 My Gratitude Gang sisters, I am forever thankful for the lessons, failures and successes of the past 6 months and still pinching myself that I get to offer this life changing opportunity to other women.

I can tell you a few stories about times in my life when I would have thought this was a cruel joke. Sometimes life hands us cruel joke situations, and though we may never know why, there’s one thing I will always believe...no matter what you’ve gone through, someone else on this planet has been in a similar situation. And seemingly coincidentally they may come across you, and feel an unexplained peace in hearing about how you came through, no matter how bumpy the journey.
Sometimes our toughest situations can become, somewhat messily, the biggest blessing for someone else.
This is a bit deeper than what I normally post, but I just felt like someone might need to see it today. If you know someone who could use a little encouragement, tag them below💕
Happy Sunday, friends!
How I feel about Sundays. 😂😂 Who’s with me? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
Seriously, even with a day job I enjoy, I haaaate Sundays. I hate knowing that I’m working for someone else. That I really don’t get a say in my life. I only get a certain number of days to actually LIVE my life. My work ethic doesn’t mean better pay.
But give me a year. One year and my life will be MINE! My work ethic will directly correlate with higher pay. I choose when I get promoted. I choose when I work. & I can work from anywhere at any time.
✖️ You don’t have to work a 9 - 5 to be successful.
✖️ You don’t have to climb the corporate ladder to be successful.
✖️ You don’t have to work hard for a promotion that you’ll likely never get because it’s only 10% up to you.
✔️ You can make your own schedule.
✔️ You can stay home with your family (or by yourself) and make a livable - and I mean LIVABLE - income!
✔️ YOU can decide when you get your promotion. Your hard work directly correlates with your success. No glass ceiling here!
So now that you’re sitting there thinking about what your life could be life after you take the leap of faith (yep - I’ve been there), I have more! 😱
I am looking to lock arms with 2️⃣ ladies and coach them on this biz. You don’t have to be a fitness expert! As long as you’re passionate about your health, motivated to succeed, and love helping others make life changing decisions, you’ll be set. I’LL TEACH YOU THE REST!
Shoot me a message or click the link in my bio to learn more or apply!
You are a business owner.
Your skills are valuable.
Your time is valuable.
Work hard, be dedicated, provide great service to your clients.
Show up for your clients and yourself.
If you don’t take yourself seriously, then why would anybody else?
Habits, routines, rituals. When you choose positive habits, you will lead a more positive life. No...seriously.
When I do not take the time on Sunday to look ahead at my week, I start behind. I feel rushed. Flustered and overwhelmed.
When I don’t wash my blender the night before, making my morning smoothie seems like an insurmountable task.
Not doing a daily load of laundry from start to finish (because yes, as a family of five, we have that much freaking laundry) makes folding laundry one of the worst things in the world.
When I sit down to my computer to work, I put my headphones in. And this is whether I am playing music or not. I do it to signal to my family that “Mommy’s working.” And I do it because the habit puts me “in the zone.” I’ve read others who can’t start work without diffusing their favorite essential oil blend, their favorite drink, or stretching or, one of my favorites, eating a piece of decadent chocolate.
We have good habits and bad habits, routines that we do with nary a thought to their effectiveness. So I challenge you to think about your routines, habits, rituals, whatever you choose to name them, and observe which are serving you and which aren’t.
Start to change the ones that aren’t. Now.
What if everything you are going through is preparing you what you asked for?
I remind myself this daily!
The obstacles we face are sitting their waiting for us to tackle them correctly!
We are capable of powering through them, moving around them, or patiently waiting for whatever lesson they may bring.
It is your choice to let your obstacle defeat you or let it make you stronger. Embrace every challenge because it is there for a reason! Whether you see that reason tomorrow or five years from now, you will reap the benefits of choosing to face your obstacle with the right attitude.
Have faith that God had a plan for you!
Have faith that there is more in store than you could ever imagine.
You will never be in control of the situation but you will always be in control of your mindset. 🙌🏻
° F R I E N D - F A M
It's what my bestie calls us and it's so true. My small amount of close friends I class as my family; 'friends are the family we choose'. We've known each other maybe 8 years now, been through all the highs and lows and now I get to see her little babas grow up.
My niece and her daughter have the kind of friendship we do, might not see each other in months but as soon as we do it's like we've never been apart!
She woke up different. Done with trying to figure out who was with her, against her, or walking down the middle because they didn’t have the guts to pick a side. She was done with anything that didn’t bring her peace. She realized opinions were a dime a dozen, validation was for parking, and loyalty wasn’t a word but a lifestyle. It was this day that her life changed. She realized life was way too short to leave the key to her happiness in anyone else’s pocket.
In this episode, Alanda shares how trying to balance the overwhelming stress she experienced while undergoing a re-organization at work and raising two active young boys at home strengthened her character to trust the realness of taking one day at a time. She also explains how sharing a very vulnerable story about the mothers in her unique blended family allowed her to connect with ladies to let them know that they are not alone in their struggles. She says that we’re more similar than different from one another and to respect one another. In this video Shante shares her story of growing up in a turbulent childhood and how loving her mentally ill mother sparked her interest in unleashing the power within to allow others to feel free to share their story as well. She opens up in her memoir about experiences her family and children don’t even know exist. In this video, Benine shares how reconnecting with her faith encouraged her to be like a big sister to the younger generation in her circle. She also discusses how the anniversary of her father’s death impacted her and brought her community closer to her even though she wasn’t initially motivated to share her pain. She has inspired women all around the world partly because of the positive influence her tribe has had on her. In this episode, Judith explains how her horrid pregnancy brought her and her husband together and allowed her to surrender to God and trust in His protection. Now she uses her experiences with raising a child to develop her blogging career in helping first-time mothers understand what to expect and giving them the educational support she wished she had.

In this episode, Justine a young wanderlust enthusiast who has lived in 7 different countries shares her journey becoming a social media influencer and entrepreneur. Once she became more in-tune with her purpose by being patient with the process of growing she discovered that she not only was more impactful to her community but she also significantly strengthened her business acumen and character.
