Soppy post alert!! I post a lot about my dog but what a lot of people don’t realise is that he is a rescue dog. He’d had a very troubled life before he came to us and we were his last chance!
Little did we know that this boy would turn out to be instrumental in my recovery and without him I wouldn’t have made it. He knows when I’m having a wibble before it even happens, he’s loving and empathetic and it’s all right there in his nature and all it took was for him to be loved to bring it all out!
Max is now my emotional support dog, but more importantly my friend and companion, I adore him!
I urge every one of you who are thinking about getting a dog this Christmas to rescue one, it will be the most worthwhile thing you do in your life and you never know where it will lead you (see what I did there!) It is a huge commitment and not to be taken lightly but when it works it really does change lives 🐕🐕
I don’t know about yours but my dog thinks I’m amazing! I am the kindest, most loving, coolest, most incredible human on this planet in his eyes. And although I’m not all those things all the time I really want to be. So I strive every day to be better than I was yesterday and I think you should too! I think it could be world changing if everyone went into the new year trying to be a little more like the person their dog thinks they are!
Every once in a while, me and this girl share some very vulnerable and emotional moments. She shows me love on the most unconditional level. She helps me through my bad days, and aids in my good days. And she continues to remind me every day how grateful I am that she came into my life. ♥️
Guys!! I’m so proud of my boy, Misha! He was Winners Dog and 2nd to Best of Breed today!! I handled him myself in the ring today and he behaved beautifully for me, which made me especially happy because I don’t show him very often AND my handling skills are novice at best 🙈 Dog shows are a fun hobby of mine, I’m not super serious about them but I like to show my dog (now “dogs” 🐺🐕) from time to time because it’s something fun I can do together with my dog and I am a liiiiiittle bit competitive haha! 😉 But Misha winning today is just icing on the cake because he means SO MUCH more to me than just a show dog. I got Misha at a time in my life when I really had next to nothing. It was before any of this social media following existed and it was actually before “Markie” existed (fun fact: “Markie” is the name I gave myself when I started my new life; it’s not my legal name..). Misha has been a constant companion for me and no matter how many times I’ve been let down by people, or dealt with all the bullshit that was leftover from a past life, Misha has been there wagging his tail as if to say, “I love you! what can I do for you mom?!” My fellow dog lovers will know and agree that our dogs love us unconditionally but this kind of love is not guaranteed from anyone in life, not even your own family, significant other, etc. So I guess what I’m trying to say is while it’s fun to brag about a winning show dog, Misha is so much more special to me than dog shows and no lie, I love my big guy more than most people 🤭 Thank you to everyone who reached out and wished us luck this weekend, we appreciate your support and felt the love today ❤️ 📸 @fitliaa #brt#blackrussianterrier#tchiornyterrier#largebreed#largebreedlovers#giantbreed#giantbreedlovers#dogsofinstagram#puppiesofinstagram#dogshow#showdog#womansbestfriend#sunday#sundayfunday#npc#npcbikini#npcbikiniathlete#seattle#teammarkie#markiewilliams
