Here's a little refresher on your QL muscle👇

It can cause you all sorts of back pain and refer pain into your hip and glutes. Having a tight QL can mean frustrating back pain that can cause way too much trouble😰

What does the Quadratus Lumborum muscle do?
-
It's located at the top of your pelvis and attaches on to the bottom rib and the side of your spine. It helps you
▪️Extend backward
▫️Bend to the side
▪️Bend forwards 
The QL can also refer pain into the butt and side of the hip!

Symptoms of QL Dysfunction!
-
🔸Deep, aching in the low back, often worse in sitting or standing.
🔹Pain with coughing and sneezing.
🔸Pain rolling to either side when lying on your back.
🔹Pain can refer to the groin and mimic sciatica symptoms.
🔸You may have one side of your pelvis lifted higher than the other.

HERE'S HOW TO PERFORM THE QL RELEASE!

1️⃣ Start by finding a wall or a doorway. Anywhere you can prop one leg up and lay the other flat.
2️⃣ Grab your favorite tennis ball or lacrosse ball.
Lay on your back and place one leg on the wall, so your knee creates a 90-degree angle.
3️⃣ Keep the other leg fully extended. *We're bending the knee, so our low back stays flatter on the ground and helps us get enough pressure on the QL!
4️⃣ Place the ball on the QL.
5️⃣ Now roll towards that side a little bit.
*We want to go into the QL at an angle!
6️⃣ Once you're on the QL, bend your towards your chest and use your opposite arm to continue to pull as far as you can.
7️⃣ Once you can't pull anymore, reach your other arm up and behind you as much as possible.

Hello my name is Sheyla. I am 24 years old and I am a mother of one. Before Herbalife I was depress, with no energy,asthmatic and 40 pounds heavier than when I was 9 month pregnant with my son. I have always struggle with my weight. But after giving birth and gaining all that weight because of how depress I was and all the struggles I was going through during that time I got up to my heaviest weight ever 238 pounds. I wasn't happy with myself, didn't want to get out of bed, didn't even want to take a shower, didn't want to play with my son, I just was in a dark place!. So I started my Herbalife journey in May 2015 because I got tired on my situation and my excuses, and just wanted to be a better me for myself and the most important my son!. The first 3 month I was able to lose 40 pounds. Then by September I started to make unhealthy options, having a lot excuses, and a lot of personal problems and gain 18 pounds. In January  I decided to join the 30 day challenge that my coach Paymi was having, I wanted to put my excuses behind and not put all the hard work I did to waste. I end up winning first place in the challenge and lost 16 pounds.Not only I decide to get back on track on January but also, I decided to give an opportunity to the Herbalife business part, which made me fall more in love with Herbalife. I️ found what I️ use to ask good every night crying, I️ found something that help me get back on track with my life and found the dream job I️ wanted, something i love to do and don’t feel obligated to do! Now I'm back on track and lost a few more pounds, I have energy, now I play with my son, I haven't have asthma in forever, I have started to love myself again! in total I have lost 65lbs and Went from a side 16 to a side 10. The first 3 month I was able to lose 40 pounds. Then by September I started to make unhealthy options, having a lot excuses, and a lot of personal problems and gain 18 pounds. In January I decided to join the 30 day challenge that my coach Paymi was having, I wanted to put my excuses behind and not put all the hard work I did to waste. I end up winning first place in the challenge and lost 16 pounds.Not only I decide to get back on track on January but also, I decided to give an opportunity to the Herbalife business part, which made me fall more in love with Herbalife. I️ found what I️ use to ask good every night crying, I️ found something that help me get back on track with my life and found the dream job I️ wanted, something i love to do and don’t feel obligated to do! Now I'm back on track and lost a few more pounds, I have energy, now I play with my son, I haven't have asthma in forever, I have started to love myself again! in total I have lost 65lbs and Went from a side 16 to a side 10. Some of our Mums have taken on the #skipping challenge 🙌🏽 Too many women simply accept “oh I can’t skip now that I’ve had a baby and I leak!!” 😱 Remember, it’s very common to leak with high impact exercise but it’s NOT NORMAL!! 🙅🏽‍♀️ Physio can help 🙌🏽 Personally, I worked very hard post babies to skip & do #doubleunders without leaking post babies 🙋🏽‍♀️
This was my brief to our Mums keen to try skipping ...... 1/ Trust your #mumbod it is strong & resilient ✔️
2/ Relax your breathing & focus on rhythmic exhalation ✔️
3/ Relax your abs!! Over bracing will lead to rigidity  of movement & probably leakage 😳  Skipping requires dynamic, fluid, relaxed motion. 
4/ Land softly to minimise ground reaction forces ✔️ 5/ Wear your ‘heavy duty‘ bra to support your lactating breasts ✔️.... because no one wants to be KO’d by their own breasts 😬
6/ Stack your thorax over your pelvis 👍🏾
7/ Have fun 😄
