Edward Hogg is in As You Like It at Regents Open Air atm and if you manage to see it, I'm v jealous due to Shakespeare + Edward Hogg. There's a few performers I really want to see onstage at some point and he's one of them (along with Rhys Ifans, Michael Sheen, Ralph Fiennes (almost did! Had to miss it due to work), and Olivia Coleman). AKA people who are great at literally everything they've done.
It's on until next week I believe 😭
Basically 3 of my favourite shows and they're all being rebooted - 2 of which by the same network the CW. So I have a feeling that they'll be the ones to try and pick up the new Buffy show as well. I watched the Roswell trailer and it didn't seem too bad. Charmed looked like a disaster though and a total rip off. At least Roswell is being based on the original books rather than the original show! I've been wanting something like this to happen for YEARS but the sad thing is that neither show is based on the previous like a spin off 😭 I wanted a charmed and Roswell spin off. Kind of infuriating that 2 actors from Roswell have been fighting tooth and nail to get their own show for years yet they just ignored them and decided to make a new show with new actors. Complete insult 😑😠 I'm still #baronandtoluca @baronandtoluca though
🔥✧ȿąȼřƹȡ ȿʍǿƙƹ✧💨 With the discovery of fire, early humans began to notice that aromatic smoke was produced by burning dried plants.
As herbs, roots, resins and barks are changed from their physical form (of this world), they are changed by the element of fire into smoke (spirit world form). Throughout human history aromatic plants have been used in the daily activities of people from every culture. ☸Everything started in 700 BC when Buddhism took birth in India, and the burning of incense became one of its main performs. It is reputed to be a method of purifying the surroundings and bringing forth the Buddhist Alamkaraka (Realm of Adornment). 🕉The use of incense is a tradition in almost all Hindu pujas, prayers, and other forms of worship. As part of the daily ritual within the Hindu tradition of India, incense is offered to God in His deity forms, such as Krishna and Rama. This practice is still commonplace throughout modern-day India. It is said in that "Krishna accepts the offering made to Him with love". ☥Incense in Ancient Egypt. The burning of incense was central to the worship of the gods of ancient egypt and large quantities of incense were burned every day in temples throughout Egypt ... According to Plutarch the Ancient Egyptians burned frankincense in the morning, myrrh at midday and Kyphi (Kapet) in the evening. 🦅Smudging in the western hemisphere. In Native American tradition, smudging is seen as a bridge to the higher realms, a way to bring in good spirits and dispel the negative or stagnant ones. It is used to cleanse the body, aura, energy, objects and spaces.
Incense has also been used for centuries in christianity, judaism, islam and japanese culture.
In modern days, incense burning and smudging have been scientifically proven to reduce airborne bacteria. The research reviewed information from 50 countries over 5 continents and found that, dating back to ancient times, smoke administered medicinally is typically used to aid lung, brain and skin function.
Smudging is ritual alchemy — changing and shifting the air element, and transforming our current experience to a mystical one✨ Smoke may be used in many different ways! 🌠
Oh- my twitchy witchy girl
I think you are so nice,
I give you bowls of porridge
And I give you bowls of ice
I give you lots of kisses,
And I give lots of hugs,
But I never give you sandwiches
