This one is turning 3 tomorrow. I cannot explain all the crazy emotions I have in me at the moment but I’m so glad she chose me to be her mama. More than ever, she’s the teacher and I’m the student. She makes me want to be a better person, a better mama, a stronger person. She teaches me things I’d never thought I needed. She doesn’t know this yet but she’s got the biggest supporter in her life, unconditionally loving her no matter what.
Did you know we guarantee that all teething babies are this happy, when they use @thebabyniche Kidding, I’m sure @carajmason can attest Noni isn’t this happy all the time. But she looks pretty darn cute while teething, so ya. I can guarantee the cuteness.
Working nine to wine over here on this Glamping trip so you can find out all the fun things to do at El Capitan Canyon. 🍀
We spent the afternoon playing Aggravation (love that game), frisbee, cornhole, and smashball!🥇
Just hanging out at our yurt😜
I’ve never felt so relaxed on a vacation. 😋
Dinnertime’s soon...I wonder what we’re going to eat? Stay tuned🔥
I almost completely caught up with editing last night while the kids slept, just in time for another beach session tonight.❤️ When I was pregnant I wasn’t sure if I’d start taking family sessions before September, but I felt so great I started back at 2 weeks pp. I’m really loving the flow of just two sessions a week. Keeps me just busy enough to feel accomplished and doing what I love, but still totally manageable without extra childcare. It’s so easy to lose yourself when you become a mother and I think it’s really important to have something outside of the kids to spend time on- whether it’s a job, a hobby, going out with friends, it’s important to have something just for you.
Since I've been too tired and nauseous lately to venture out and take sunflower photos, I thought I'd share one from 2 years ago when my little was little🌻
This is a special photo to me which makes it an even more special #tb_transformation_tuesday
First photo is my most recent edit, second photo is my edit from 2 years ago, and the 3rd photo is the original.
My edit from two years ago I used 'rockin it' + a simple vignette from my Life in Color collection. For my recent edit, I used the same recipe + added some color in the sky with a pink brush & added color and contrast by adjusting my black and white sliders in the basic panel. Just enough to make it pop with contrast and color 🤩
Do you go back and re-edit old photos? If not, you should try it, it's fun to see how your editing evolves, even if it's just a year or two later 🙌
I’ve started a new black and white series: In the Details. Small glimpses of moments, down in the details of our day. I’ve been thinking about this one for a while now. I’ve always said I photograph our daily lives because it’s the small moments, the passing moments we often forget that are filled with beauty and joy. I wanted to zoom in on those moments. The way that the blanket rumples when Ari kicks his legs. The way that dirt collects on Phoenix’s hands while digging in the garden. The creases in Ari’s palm, his tiny fingers. Those tiniest of moments that are too easy to pass by. I’m capturing those and the details are absolutely beautiful.
It’s my oldest sons first day of first grade (😭). So I get to hang around enjoying the last couple weeks left of summer vacation with my youngest before he starts 4 day preschool. I’m not even sure how we got here so fast 💚
