Old lady backache has kicked down my door and settled in without an invitation as a result of today’s repetitive motion, but all seven mural panels are varnished and drying quietly in anticipation of installation on Monday. #wip#mural#art#illustration
Hour 10 and the lines have color and are blended in. I've also made some adjustments to colors, and now, there's shadow on the image as well as a working background, though that's not here.
I'm hoping that by the end of next week, I'll have this picture done. I'm really excited for this little side project, and can't wait to show you the full spread!
cubes are organized and Ready.To.Go. over here hustling for exciting things on the horizon and I can’t wait to share. it’s scary to take a creative leap but it’s time ✨ anyone else have to clean their entire apartment before the creativity can kick in? 🙄 #lydiamagician#lhwoven
It turns out this looks better upside down.. 🙃
In other news I have just received the first of several 1980s erotic massage books which I ordered from the US, so lots of fresh and sexy material for new collages!
💎💬Turkish carpets and Anatolian kilims all made up of wool, in addition to vintage products that we collect them for you from villages.
Vintage rugs are pieces of art that reflects its weaver story and culture.
We prefer vintage rugs since they have better quality and unique designs. These pieces are hand spun from original sheep wool and are naturally dyed from vegetable coloring. Once you look at the kilim you can greatly realize that it is not just a carpet. It is a deep story expressing the intense thoughts of the Anatolian weavers through the language of kilims and their motifs.
Such motifs symbolize different aspects of the weaver’s life like protection against evil eye, long life, power, marriage and much more.
Stories and wishes are weaved on kilims making them special and more interesting. Anatolian kilims are not just rugs to be commercially sold.
However these rugs are weaved with passion by Anatolian girls (brides) reflecting their expectations and hopes to the upcoming life they are waiting for with their beloved one. In addition to its traditional story kilims are made up of natural materials (sheep wool) and natural dye.💬💎
