Ah, Mornings!! My kids have made me a morning person and with that I have indirectly started a routine that if I don't get it, my day just seems out of sorts; in a way.
I am not a schedule person and like my spontaneity but these past few months with the kids getting up from 530-6 am I have really gotten used to having a few hours before it's go time.
During this time we cuddle, watch cartoons, enjoy coffee, and have a little reading time. Then I can get on with cooking, cleaning, and taking care of business! Can you relate to this? What do you do in the mornings to help you through the day?
Daily Video. Well we made it back from Orlando, Florida and our @disneymagickingdoms trip. It was a long fun week. Jackie and I still want to be married I each other and we still love are kids so that makes it a successful @disney trip. Now back to reality. GO WIN THE DAY!
First day back doing rack dead’s in quite some time, but it’s on the list (@traumarn25_ifbbpro 😘) so we had to crush it a bit. Nothing crazy about the weight I used because truthfully weight doesn’t matter if you can’t do the reps correct.
Big thing to notice is where I pull from... mid shin. Second thing is keeping a tight core and flat back. Third is keeping your shoulders back. If your shoulders roll forward, your back will tend to arch like a cat taking all stress off the target muscle and putting all the stress on your lower back.

What an absolute blast of a day at THZ. 6 of the best to have played the game of softball came to THZ and crushed it. Then with the help of Stefs in Wentzville we crushed some pizza. For 5 of them was 1st time for toasted ravs and St. Louis Style Pizza. Hope they com back

How did I accomplish more on my day off compared to a regular work day?! Officially submitted all documents to NYSED for CTE approval, submitted our Gene HAAS Foundation grant application, wrote two course descriptions for next school year, and worked on setting up a meeting with a local manufacturing company to create a partnership. #crushingit#wintheday#teched#cte#haas#fusion360
Always remember to take a rest day or two each week as part of your workout routine.
There are two options for rest days. You have a full rest day where you do absolutely nothing and active rest days where you move around but with little intensity. Rest days can include walking, stretching foam rolling, or my personal favorite, binge watching Netflix.
It’s also key on rest days that you still eat according to your fitness goals. It’s just one day off so you don’t want to change your eating habits. Always make sure to drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep. Once rest day is over, it’s back to the grind and to lifting heavy sh*t (or running if you’re into that).
The moral of this fine story is to make sure you rest and let your body recover from the stress you have put on your body this past week. The rest will help you recover and come back stronger for the upcoming week of workouts.

We went almost all the way to this dock, turned around and the tide wanted to carry us out, not in. Hmmm, need to get the paddleboard rigged up correctly for all this. But we had fun.

In every situation, there’s you – and then there’s the crowd. In sports, there is also your opponent.
If you let them, the crowd or your opponent will sway you towards what they want. The crowd will have comments about what you’re doing. Your opponent will want you to play a certain way – so that they have the advantage.
If you let yourself be swayed by the opponent or the crowd, you end up playing a reactive game, rather than a proactive one. You essentially end up playing their game, rather than your own. And the net result of this is a decrease in focus and an increase in the number of mistakes that you can potentially make.
Big PR week at 300 Babcock. Snuck into the Dog Pound for one last lift this morning before heading home to the Great White North. She is up for adoption and needs someone that will go running with her. It's her favorite thing. The faster the better!!! This girl was pulling me up the beach. Lol
Sookie is another shy pup. I ended up taking her for a walk around the neighborhood instead of the beach. Didn't think she was ready for all the commotion of the main road and beach. It can be overwhelming for an anxious pup. ..
She also likes to run. Finally she warms up to me and give me affection too. Snuggles a bit and leans against me. That's a lot of trust for such a short time. She's also available for adoption and will be a great girl for the right person. ..
