Winter Princess ❄️ when I was making this flower crown I envisioned windswept hair and a little woodland fairy at one with nature. @spottheocelot captured that vision so beautifully in this pic of little Alexa roaming free in the winter sunshine

I have reached my first fix challenge - tulle. What the customer wants, the customer gets. Tulle was a product I never mastered in using, so this craft was one I was secretly dreading. After a few Pinterest fails, I was finally getting the hang of it! Doing the blue took about an hour to do and a lot of screaming. I went to bed tired that night, but when I woke in the morning I went right back to it. Somehow it all clicked and the purple was a breeze! I did it in half the time as the blue AND I was smiling the whole time! 😁I have finally mastered tulle and it looks fabulous!!! 🦄 I can’t wait to make another tulle table skirt!

Feedback Spotlight: “I wanted to let you know how magnificent Snow Queen and Winter Princess were at my 4 year old's birthday party yesterday. They charmed and delighted everyone, both young and old! The sing a long session was amazing! My little girl felt like such a princess herself. Thank you for providing such a high quality service. And please extend our gratitude to your performers. They were so sweet!
My daughter has already decided she wants to invite Rapunzel next year lol. So I'm sure I will be in touch again! -Tiffany”
The other week I stumbled into bed after another late night working on a painting that just wouldn’t cooperate. My head was filled with a heap of crap and I was totally cranky. I was about to put on a podcast and go to sleep when I saw a video from one of my favourite authors Kristen Ashley, in my feed.
I was super excited to hear what she was working on so it wasn’t until 8 mins into the video when I saw what I saw. AND. I. TOTALLY. FREAKED. OUT!!! Short version of the long story - A few years ago I was inspired by one of her books to paint my version of Finnie (otherwise known as the winter princess) and last year I sent her a card saying thanks for the inspiration and thanks for allowing me to get out of my head and into her gorgeous stories when I was struggling with heap of real life stuff.
She wrote back (totally love her more for this btw) and said how much she loved the painting and thanks for writing her. And that was that.
Until this vid which over her shoulder you can just see my card with the winter princess on it.
I woke Mac up (again, sorry ;) ) with my half whispered OMG’s, OMFG’s.
And just like that after a shitty couple of hours at work, the universe reminded me I wouldn’t want to be anything else. So thank you KA for the inspiration and for loving it so much it’s on your shelf!
we are a little late on posting the final release of Shaely Skye's winter princess images - oops! But that doesn't make us any less proud on how well we did with these photos. we absolutely love every single one of them, and am confident enough to call this a new favourite series of ours.. ❄️🌲 2018 is going to be my year for #creativity , #passion , and #art , and i think that we can all agree that the gorgeous @shaelyskye_model gave me a fantastic head start to these things.
thanks to Shaely Skye, Belinda and my beautiful wife Chelsea Matthiassen for helping me create this vision that I had been waiting so long to do. and another huge thanks to them for dealing with hours of my infamous "okay, just one more photo" whilst I took about a hundred more
